Is your iPhone 6 / 6S bent? (Public Poll)

  • Total voters
    565
I voted yes and I don't have a 6 or 6+.

This poll is biased unless you require proof for both options. Otherwise anyone can vote 'no' without even owning the phone to pad the results.

Yeah, but voting a yes just for laughs is a dick move .. You can just point out your thoughts without screwing with the freakin poll.

Of the yes votes , the bolded ones are legit and the underlined ones are the wrong vote as per their own admission:

BigBeast, Cowboy1629, Crosscreek, DelMac, heartlegs,iBoost621, itegypt, jpeg42, OzzyOzman, Rocko1, schizbomb, Smartass, Steviejobz, supernet33, The Doctor11, ucantgetridofme

rest are still suspect until they even care to reply to this thread let alone pictures

Wow 9% have this problem after 1 week. How could apple have missed it during pre-sales testing.

Of course, the poll may be too high

... or too low.

It will be interesting to see the answer in 12 months.

Congratulations guys for making a non-issue into national news. Came into the office this morning and overheard two conversations about "the new iPhone bending." Received a text during lunch from a relative saying "be careful, the new iPhone bends! I saw pictures on the news!" FACE PALM. What everyone fails to realize is that if you apply enough pressure to a smartphone or tablet, it will bend. Plain and simple. Will Apple reinforce the internal casing of future production models? Mostly likely. But in all reality, just be smart about your smartphone. Don't stuff it into your pocket and then sit with it. People shouldn't have to be told this, but apparently they do.

So maybe the S in the 6S will stand for Steel?

:apple: <-- Front pocket carry since day one and no bend.

Looking at the poll and having just one legitimate user who actually had a bend phone it seems as if right now the percentage of those affected is less than 3 percent which is below the industry failure rate standard

Hey BBC cnn nbc abc fox will you report this?

some of you guys....

- first, you guys decide to do a survey, then when it shows 10%; all you find to say is that the 10% is really only 3%. If you take into account that there are some fake answers on one end; also take into account that there are fake answers on the other side
- Second, I don't think the problem is "the phone will bend in your pocket in your first couple of days of use", but "the phone will eventually bend in your pocket". In other words 3% after 2 days of use, is kinda huge! if average user has a phone for 2 years, then failure rate is likely to much higher than that!

I am not counting those who just vote without a picture (drive by trolling) or even a mention. 2 or those admitted to voting wrong so that automatically brings it down to 7.9

It's been suggested many times and perhaps by the level of proof needed in this poll, that Samsung could have trolls here and that is the source of #bendgate. I think that's fairly ridiculous. But it is one of the primary sources for many to disregard their lying eyes.

So food for thought... Who has $159,000,000,000.00 dollars in cash and a motive to protect the reputation of their biggest profit maker? I think the notion of this is also ridiculous. But there is more motive and opportunity.

So lets stop with attacking of every person that comes forward with an issue. There are legit questions and followups, but the attacks and ridiculous levels of authentication are not needed.

Every reasonable person should be in pursuit of the truth and open to wherever the facts take us. It's no one's job here to prove or disprove Apple's guilt or culpability in the matter or even the degree of the issue. Unless one of the above is true.

We are just riding this train. So lets see where it goes.

...or if you have an agenda, carry on I suppose.

All we ask is picture proof which no one is providing

In other threads it was a picture, then a picture with a thumbs up, then the pictures were scrutinized for the tiniest of dings... the whole thing is disingenuous. You start off with the premise that everyone is lying. It's offensive and people don't want to play your games. Which is why this poll is worthless.

Why should others not insist in seeing 999,999,994 unique pictures of flat phones?

None of it proves a thing.

Only one of the yes votes has a picture up. No one else does.

Why don't you want the world to see examples. It's just 20

because you decide to ignore every genuine reports; there are plenty of reports in other threads and on other places on the web with such problems; but no all that matter is that there is only one pic in this thread.

at some point you need to accept the truth, as sad as it is.

It's right there. Picture as proof. Everyone posts drive by and most don't even post. You surely don't want people to make up stuff right? Especially very new members

You have to have some trust.

For example. Prove to me that you are not a shill hired directly or indirectly to defend Apple's reputation online.

You can't. And when you try, I'll move the goal posts each time as has been done with others trying to discuss their phones. Anyone could say that, anyone could post that pay stub, you could have a second job, that's not your real name, how do I know that isn't your neighbor.

It goes nowhere.

Just let people speak, ask questions, probe, whatever... then just make up your own mind.

maybe you don't realize that people with bent phones have better things to do right now that participate in your poll; again, your poll is not the only source of truth here, just open your eyes men, there is a longer thread with at least 5 different pictures of significantly bent phones; if I copy paste these pics into this post, I assume it won't count, right? haha you're a joke

So wait you are admitting of the 10 million iphones delivered there are less than 500 with actual bent iphones considering I have counted 8 on Mr, 2 on twitter; 1 from France and the youtube guy

So wait you are admitting [...]

where? quote me

I have counted 8 on Mr, 2 on twitter; 1 from France and the youtube guy

If you are to start 50 threads about how the iPhone 6 can not bend, at least be consistent in your numbers, you mention 11 cases of bent phones here, and 25 in another post you started.
So either you're lying, the number of reported cases doubled within an hour? At that pace, expects thousands of reported cases by tonight...

Wow it's still just at 8 or so percent.surprisingly low considering no pictures and drive by voting

now even less than 8 percent! I thought people here said a lot were affected?!

24 people have voted My iPhone 6/6 Plus is Bent after I purchased it but on 21'st century non of them can really prove it with photos!!!! Hmmm! Something smells fishy here.....!!
