Is your iPhone 6 / 6S bent? (Public Poll)

  • Total voters
    565
I voted yes and I don't have a 6 or 6+.

This poll is biased unless you require proof for both options. Otherwise anyone can vote 'no' without even owning the phone to pad the results.

This isn't science, my friend. It's a poll. Read up on polls.

Most all polls show some evidence of the Bradley effect or "brand" loyalty bias in this case. While I admitted a fraudulent response to the poll at hand, many did not, on both sides. But this is typical of all public polling and should inherently be accounted for.

You don't know for a fact what the other people did, though. Neither do I. You could be lying about your fraudulence, too! Just sayin!

Wow I can't believe this but my 6 is curved, not fully bent.
I just noticed this by looking at it from the side compared to a notepad on my desk. Hold it sideways against any straight line, and I can see that it's definitely curved inwards on the screen side. Which makes sense because I put the phone in my front pocket with the screen facing my leg.

Hate to say this but it's true and I barely even leave the phone in my pocket. Only when walking. Majority of the time it is on a table.

picture? I have been using my phone since launch, kneeling with it in my pocket, doing construction work, worked out with it in my pocket, long car rides with it in my pocket, riding bikes with it in my pocket and mine is as straight as a ruler.

I will take one when I get home. What a bummer.

You can change my vote to whatever, there wasn't a "view results" button so I clicked yes so I could see the results.

Here are two photos from both the screen side and back side.
Note on the screen side you can see the space in the middle.
On the back you can see space on both ends.

Apologies if the pics are blurry but it is quite obvious in person.
Again this is with the phone on front pocket probably 10% of the time. At work phone is always on the table and in the car phone is always on the car seat.

Well, on the bright side you made Starbucks Gold.

Here's the other

Yeah man, i see it, that is just like startling, you say you dont even keep it in your pocket and have it out most of the time, wow , I have no idea man, one theory I may have is that, since there pushing out so many iPhones out right now, that in some devices the glue isnt fully cured or dried yet, and that since the sturdy glass display gives the phone rigidness and toughness and straightness(because the glass is pretty tough and the glass being glued to the aluminum frame defitnetly gives the device overall improved durability and rigidness) and that since the glass display may not be fully dried/cured to the frame, that some iPhones are more prone to bending then others, that is crazy man how that happend to you, i Have a 6 myself and been using it and treating it like any other smartphone I have owned, gone bike riding with it, worn jeans with it in my pocet all day, tooken long car rides with it, kneeling in jeans with it in my pocket, etc , and mine is perfectly fine

It seems almost unreal to think and believe that this slipped past Apple's QC testing, like its almost virtually impossible though, they test these devices every single way and shape and put it through tons of tests, Im also pretty dam sure they also have engineers that just sit there and twist and turn the device and play with it hands on testing how strong it may be and stuff, and also putting it to use in real world usage over a use of few weeks.

I have a 4.7 inch iPhone 6 btw.

No doubt in my mind Apple will replace that for you free of charge

It is very startling. Like I said I don't even pocket the phone when driving.
I am about to return it to the store and will wait till they have in stock again

Mine's the same... Like I posted earlier, it's been in a case and babied since I got it. Never dropped, always in my front pocket. I'll just wait it out and see if it gets worse.

And to those that accuse us of sitting on the phones, I hope yours bends in the next few days! :D

Hm, UnboxTherapys video shows the 6 being much more durable and rigid and stiff then the Plus too.

Yeah I don't know it's strange. I def did not tamper with the phone either.

Yeah it's true guys I hate to admit. I never sit on my phones and I am absolutely stunned as the phone is hardly in my front pocket at all

They all try bending towards the back, while ours are bent towards the glass. FWIW, Consumer Reports found the 6 to bend with less force.

At the AT&T store today

So I asked the CR if they've had any bent iphone returns. He said yes, two so far. So it is happening to some people but it is not the "epidemic" that some are making it out to be. I'm definitely picking a rigid type case and being a little more careful with it till I pick that out.
