The Seventy Six is an AWESOME genuine leather case with Tooled Midnight Black exterior and a Firetruck Red Italian cloth interior...

To quote a recent client:
"WOW!!! *I just got my case and it is so AMAZINGLY GORGEOUS!!!!! *I will treasure this case forever. *...*I spoil myself and this rivals my most prized Jimmy Choo. "

We ran out of time to roll the Seventy Six out before the iPad 2, so it remains a Private Order item.. Until now, lol. You can get them here: https://shop.portenzo.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=NB-seventy-six

Thanks,
Darin and Team Potrenzo

P.S. Yes, they will be available for the iPad 2, sometime next week.

Any update on roll out for the Seventy Six for the iPad2? Still waiting on my order from DodoCase, but this looks WAY better! May cancel that order and order a Seventy Six if it's coming soon. Crossing my fingers.

Just got my case. It is really really impressive. I honestly can't see putting my 800 dollar device in anything with less quality. The level of detail, and quality is really incredible. DO NOT cancel your orders, it is 100% worth the wait. I will post pictures of both of mine. I ordered levant with green apple, and red inside. Both are beautiful.

From a 30 minute session with it. It is really sturdy, no glue on the edges, no flimsy feeling. Hopefully it keeps its durability as the leather stretches and such.

in all honesty though. Be excited, and do not cancel your order. It really is a product to match that of apples.

Another Option with sleep/wake function

I know cases like these and the Dodo are popular but I don't really understand the desire to all thickness and weight to the iPad. I mean the reason I bought the iPad2 is b/c it was thinner and lighter. What is the pull here? -- not being facetious, just curious.

Here is what I went with, but doesn't ship till the 30th. Decided to go with something that looks like an expensive sports car rather than a book since I'm a teacher and have too many already.

I'm still looking forward to the case as well! Portenzo has fallen out of grace from a lot of people, it has become like an underdog now. I think I'm more excited about the case than I am about the iPad itself Lol (First iPad owner here) :D

did you get the magna cover or not? have you tried to use the case as a stand?

i am consider cancelling my order after buying a temporary cover and realizing that a case that double as a stand would be mighty useful...

Got mine today, too. Levant, purple inside. I freaking love this thing. I'm a music/sound snob and the difference of sound from the iPad out of the case vs. in the case is in and of itself a reason to wait for the case. My musician 15YO son and I were ASTOUNDED by the amazing sound the channels provide.

Besides that, it is gorgeous, light as a feather, and its final test it passed with flying colors (ladies!)... it fit perfectly into my Coach hippie bag purchase expressly to carry my iPad.

My big problem now is that I have a Treegloo coming and it is SO me - color, style, Chicago map. :( My husband is not going to be happy with my purchasing TWO custom cases.

Darin not canceling my order worked in his favor because I can't imagine returning this beautiful case, unless the Treegloo blows it out of the water. I am frustrated by the fact that I double-backed and requested the back camera hole before my order was made/shipped and it didn't get onto the order. That was a mistake initially on my part, now on theirs. I am sure I could send it back and get one put in; not sure if I want to do that, though - how long could THAT take?

So bottom line: This thing is worth the wait. Absolutely. Just be prepared to wait and once your order is in, understand it's a crapshoot whether it'll be modified if you change your mind, so be sure you know what you want the first time!!!!

Thanks for your review. I'm interested in your reaction when your Treegloo arrives, because I feel the same way about their cases-- they just seem so me, and I really like the looks of the pine, too. I'm not a music/sound snob at all, so that wouldn't be dispositive for me, but if the Portenzo is far superior in other regards, too... well, that matters!

People aren't posting enough pictures, so i'll post some.

I got the Levant, Black inside, no hole for camera, strap only.

Looks like those Treegloos are not so pretty. Never realized the corner of wood frame are not rounded and stick out beyond the cover. Also if you check the Treegloo thread with all the pics, you see several that show corners worse than Portenzo with rubber pads uneven.

So Pad & Quill and Portenzo still tops with P&Q customer service miles ahead. They just need more options for interior. Should start to see more pics pretty soon given all the shipping notices.

Could not have said it better treeghoul's quality does not match the pricing:apple:

Pictures!

Here's some pics of my Old School II that just came today! By luck, my iPad came in yesterday... so it didn't have to go naked for too long.

Love those corners. :)

I think I like levant now after seeing it other than that sample on their page. Might have to change my order.

Thanks. I think if I went that route, I'd have to go magna grip cover, too. The black elastic seems like it'd clash against the orange and green.

how are the cases with "Magna Cover" option but no strap? Are they staying closed without issue?

I ordered mine w/o a strap hoping the magna cover would hold it enough, any feedback would be great!

got an email for refund today - says they are way backed up....told him if he could change my order to something that he hadin stock, like black levant and red or black interior, he could continue to process...we'll see

I'd think the wake magnet is probably just enough to trigger the sleep/wake, not hold down a cover. And they'd be undercutting their $9.99 addition if it worked as well.

Thanks to all those posting pictures! The positive pics and reviews are keeping me excited, despite the long wait. I ordered a 23.5, but seeing some of the other colors and options has me wondering....:)

Also received my Old School II today. Unfortunately, I don't have my iPad at work, so I can't comment on fit. As for finish, this thing is beautiful! I had no problem waiting, as I heard many great things about the quality of the first iPad cases. They certainly didn't rush and skimp this time around. Well done Portenzo!

I ordered mine with that configuration and it should be here tomorrow so i'll post reactions.
