Also received my Old School II today. Unfortunately, I don't have my iPad at work, so I can't comment on fit. As for finish, this thing is beautiful! I had no problem waiting, as I heard many great things about the quality of the first iPad cases. They certainly didn't rush and skimp this time around. Well done Portenzo!

Did you get the magna grip or the elastic? If the latter, how's the black strap look?

Adding addtional photos. I did not get the cover strap. The magnets that are within the cover seem to be able to hold tight to the iPad. If I turn it upside down the cover does not open.

Initial impressions are excellent! Build quality is top notch and worth the wait.

Awesome pics! I ordered mine just like that. I can't wait for it now!

Unseen - that is the exact case that I ordered, it looks great!

I can't wait for mine to get here tomorrow!

If I could figure out where to host some pictures, then I'd post them. I got the elastic, and I really like the way it looks. The elastic could be just a little bit wider to completely block the camera hole.

Anybody think this looks kind of plain?

Any ideas of what to put there? I wish the seventy six was available already. It wouldn't look as plain.

If you went with another vendor don't read this post because I know what you'll say.

I told you guys. If you weren't a Portenzo customer before you couldn't understand why we put up with the confusion and the wait.

Yes their customer service was lacking. But if you were a previous owner you understood and would be willing to wait it out because the cases were so beautifully made.

I'm grateful for the people who cancelled because really it saves those beautiful cases for those who waited and stuck by Portenzo.

My Wife likes that sticker...she can get that on her own Portenzo case. :p

With all those photos of pad&quill and treegloo, made me glad i stick with Portenzo! :)

Waiting 1, 2 or even 3 months is not an issue for me as long as i got top notch quality

Ordered the "dark blue" linen but still kinda torn between that and "sky blue"

Any input?

I would have picked skyy blue if the 23.5 allowed it but thats just me I'm sure you will be happy with whichever color you may choose :p

Got mine today also and I absolutely love it. Build quality is amazing and I was surprised by the lightness of it. After looking through the forums here, I eventually decided on the Portenzo because I preferred the corners over the P&Q and I didn't like the glossy varnish of the frame on the Treegloo...so I ordered on 3/20 and got a Levant black w/red interior.

I have two issues with this case...

--the headphone port is too small for most "L" shaped headphone jacks, so I might have to get an extender of some sort for my sound-canceling set. But I use my BT headphones around the house, so it's not a day-to-day issue for me.

--It's also tough to access the sleep button...this is a super minor issue for me, since I never use the sleep button thanks to the cover-lock feature works as-advertised (and no, it doesn't sleep when the cover is folded to the back, like some other cases :)

--standing the case up in landscape position isn't easy to do, since the "legs" tend to slide apart on smooth surfaces...however, I knew this going in, so I don't count this against the case.

I have a ton of pics, but I won't post them all since others have posted theirs today...but since mine has the strap, I'm attaching some for comparison. I know there has been some discussion of the corner holders, but I think they look totally fine and are flush with the frame (in case you can't tell from the pics).

Pretty, beautiful, gorgeous craftsmanship, really a mile above the <unnamed masses> just the perfect accompaniment to an :apple: product, which are also far beyond the rest <3
