Portenzo iPad 2 Case: Now a Smart Cover

Received a shipping notification a few hours ago. Hopefully it will get here friday or saturday since it is two day shipping. Too bad I haven't gotten my treegloo shipping notification yet either. Wanted to compare all three cases (ipad 1 and ipad 2 portenzo, treegloo) at once and then post which one I'd be keeping among the new cases I have.
I am pretty sure that is NOT portrait. You can see the dock connector on the side there.
My bad, i meant to say landscape (not portrait) as that was what @DownByFive was talking about:
"--standing the case up in landscape position isn't easy to do, since the "legs" tend to slide apart on smooth surfaces...however, I knew this going in, so I don't count this against the case."
FWIW the Portenzo stands up just fine in portrait mode but there really isn't any viewing angle since it's totally vertical.
There's no way the strap will tuck under in portrait. I posted a pic of what aricher was referring to.

I sent an email to Portenzo to ask the same thing. Liz responded that they hope to make the 76 available in a week or so (but no stylus option, so I'm keeping my original order: Morocco, black interior, camera hole, strap-only, stylus, embossing, ordered 3/10). If I had changed my order to the 76 (still a custom at this point), she said it would prob be late April/very early May at latest to receive.
Joined to be able to post pics when my case arrives (give back a little as there has been quite a bit of useful info here). While frustration with the Portenzo team for going dark on info during a critical point is understandable, for what it's worth it does seem that they are "righting the ship." they've responded to each of my emails within a day (last one yesterday) and provided reasonably useful info on 76 availability, custom orders, Morocco backlog ("issue with supply shipment and demand"), where's my order, when they expect to get back to "normal" production/delivery, etc. And judging from the photos, it does seem to be worth the wait!
I'm potentially more patient/easier to please/lower expectations than the average person, tho'.

I got the stylus as well and someone was quoted as saying it adds 0.375" to the width of the case. Other dimensions stay the same.
I presume some weight added due to width.
When did you send your email? If they will take an order I may place one. I'm a somewhat patient person too (my DODOcase order just shipped, its been three weeks; took two weeks for the iPad 2 and I ordered about 3 hours after it went live online). Portenzo!'s first post about the seventysix being released in the next week was almost three weeks ago now. I understand the backlog and whatnot, I'm just very anxious. So now I have to decide if I use the DODOcase, or send back and order a Portenzo. It's going to be very tempting not to use.
Found this review. This guy/gal is waiting for Portenzo but seems like it more than Octavo which he said has certain issues.

Lol they completely disregarded the Dodocases
I know. Why is Dodo getting such short shrift in general? Seems to be consistent with these forums too. They have the most Facebook fans but this thread has mentioned Dodo the least.
I guess they have fallen out of favor.
Call me crazy but it is a Portenzo thread. I think that is why dodo isnt mentioned If you are a fan of dodo start a dodo thread or a generic book case thread. The only reason why P&Q is mentioned here is because people were gloating about their customer service and shipping notices.

Check out the Treegloo it looks thinner.
I do think the higher angle will be helpful if you type a lot though.
What about the hundreds of people who do not read this thread or follow them on facebook? How could Darin sleep at night knowing there are people who placed orders over a month ago and probably havent heard anything. Since the website ordering times are a total joke...
Also remember that a lot of people don't like that space when the cover is close in the Dodocases, it doesn't have a camera hole and its not a smart cover. Portenzo has all that, well they have the case that can be the most customized to fit your need (Of course, I might be wrong)...
Dodocase I think has done great in the marketing department for the first iPad, but the iPad2 ask a different type of designed that the Dodo was not able, for their own reasons, to follow
I was actually going to order a Dodo, but I could get so much more with Portenzo I hope to see a lot many pictures and review today, as lot of guys in here posted yesterday that they would be receiving their case "today/tomorrow".

I know right! I can't wait to see the photos and reviews. I like seeing the colour options people select. It gives me ideas.
The Dodos have far fewer features than the P&Q and Portenzos. I can't imagine even considering one unless there was some detail in the way they're finished that I absolutely had to have (like a specific color or the way the corners are done). They're just way behind the curve.
Plus the other little things: Their website says they ship via US Postal Service, which has poor tracking. Certain liner colors inexplicably cost more.
