Cancel your orders. I'm sure they won't mind.

Dude all your posts are pointless and just a result of you getting annoyed people are complaining. It's my money so I'll complain I have been waiting over a month and still nothing.
 
Seriously guys.. place your order and wait your turn. There is no entitlement here. If you don't like waiting go buy something else thats available right now and be happy.

The guy is making quality stuff and I am happy to wait as long as it takes to get the quality I have seen posted in the reviews. In the meantime I have my smart covers and my tpu back cover. :)

We have placed our orders and are patiently waiting. Many of us have been waiting 3 weeks+. We understand that this is a quality and amazing case. I for one just don't like being mis led about shipping times. I'm willing to wait, I just wish they were more upfront and not promising ship times and then unable to fulfil them.

In the meantime portenzo still has two more days from their promise of shipping out the composition cases for everyone who ordered by 4/1...Hope I get a notification
 
It's not about waiting your turn, its about making a business transaction and expectations not being fulfilled. There can be no sense of entitlement when money is being exchanged no one is getting these for free. We have agreed to pay good money in exchange for a product being delivered. I for one have kept my end of the deal they still have my credit card information and have permission to charge it and yet i do not have the product in the time that that was originally prescribed.

Completely agree with you. Any surprise in-demand new product is gonna get it's shipping times delayed, especially at a small independent shop. We aren't dealing with a multi-billion dollar company with factories all over the world. For all we know these things are build out of someone's garage.

I thought about just ordering a TreeGloo or Pad & Quill, and while they look pretty good, I realized I would regret not being patient enough to get the quality of a Portenzo. So I placed my order and just keep myself occupied by looking at pictures of the Composition II on their website. Oh and I bought a screen protector and carbon fiber skin to hold my iPad 2 over.
 
I got another email from TP, I give them A+ on certain aspects of CS, but in other aspects of CS, they are lacking.....


Now it turns out my case has been made and sitting on a shelf for a while...........herp-derp*derp*derp8...................apparently I needed to resubmit my payment info, something which I had known all-along and had wrote to them a couple times last week about, which they failed to acknowledge/respond to those specific emails, but whatever, now my case is certainly made and should go out tomorrow for certain now that it was all clarified.

Must have been a temp or new hire who answered my second to last email about "maybe" shipping/built.


If I hadn't written, I might have been waiting another 2 weeks with no word or ETA #FAILZ

I hope my order of 400 of these cases didn't put anyone out. I really needed them within a week to give out to our executive leadership teams as bonuses. We'd ordered each of them an iPad 2 but realized quickly we needed to include a great professional looking case but we didn't want to make them to have to wait. The guys worked really hard to get our order out 2 weeks ago and they got all 400 to us in about 5 days so I'm very pleased. I understand it put them a few weeks behind on regular orders but I hope everyone understands.

See post #1649 - I emailed about that specifically this morning and got a vague response. Could be this week, could be next week. And I specifically included my 3/16 pre-order date.

It has been established their customer service sux and I completely agree. That has been beat to death. So we know that they are overwhelmed and they have no clue how to estimate delivery times.

People who ordered before their mess up I understand. Contact them and if they misstate delivery times, or they don't respond, or don't respond to your satisfaction....cancel and move on to another vendor.

But if you elected to wait I don't get continuing to complain about established issues. It seems like a waste of energy that could be put towards spending time with family, enjoying the weather and or, loving one's spouse or better half. That's all I'm sayin.

Please be joking...though among the scenarios in my tiny brain...I did include that they had a big order to a large company, along with the loss of their order or mail data, and death of a team member or family member.

;) Yes, I was joking. I have case OCD myself so I feel justified for pulling strings a little. Please don't go emailing anybody.
 
Waiting is what I will do, I still want that case :cool: they were able to costumized my cover to have the Italian Cloth of the 23.5 instead of the natural linen. Might as well upgrade if I'm waiting :rolleyes:

I was not going to say anything because they normally don't allow it, but my 23.5 has a green apple interior

Should arrive Friday/Monday, depending if it leaves ther camp by the end of the day.


Hoping they don't mess up the bumpers or forget to laser-etch the 23.5 on the dock connector area

It was me (really your forgot the first person to post a million pics of the 23.5 for all you to enjoy? :p jk ) Replacement is being sent. Didn't really think it was a big deal, but they told me they would send me a new one, which I was more than grateful to except. Glad you got your custom lining request. I remember you hoping they would do that cool that they pulled through.
 
I can understand how people are tired of hearing others complain about shipping delays. Portenzo are hand-making cases that are outstanding. They are a small shop that has been completely overwhelmed by the response for their products. I certainly don't mind waiting for my product, even if they run somewhat late. However, I think many of the complaints are warranted despite the quality of the product.

I'll use an analogy to try to help others understand my viewpoint on why I'm frustrated. Please indulge me some literary license. ;)

Suppose Apple has announced they will be releasing their new, latest and greatest product, the iDuplicater. This device will automagically duplicate you so that your duplicate can go to work, take out the garbage, clean the gutters and do all those other tasks you don't want to do, so that you can do all of the fun things you really want to do. It will be available in Apple stores in 2 weeks. Some crazy, gotta-have-it-first folks line up outside the Apple store 10 days before it goes on sale. Slowly, the line builds. You show up to get in line 1 day before it goes on sale. Your friend lines up one hour before the store opens. Dozens of people show up seconds before the store opens.

Now imagine the friendly Apple Store employee walks out to escort a customer in to buy this new, shiny, sparkly wonderful device that has no peers. Imagine instead of escorting the first person in line, that friendly Apple Store employee walks to the end of the line and selects one random person to come on in. The next Apple store employee comes out and selects someone from the middle of the line. The third customer in is some yahoo that just showed up. On and on, customers from the end of the line keep getting selected to go in and get their delightful new toy. Don't you think the people at the front of the line would be upset? Sure you could go out and buy the Windows version, but in early tests it has just reproduced that have behaved like Charlie Sheen -- wrecking your place. :rolleyes:

I'm happy that some people are getting their Portenzo cases and are posting great reviews, I just think they should have gone in some rough relationship to order number. If that means I'm at the end of the line, so be it. Although Portenzo is making some fine cases, I don't think those early orders are scalping them in the Asian markets. Provided they have the materials, those early orders should go out first.

Thanks for allowing me to explain my understanding of why some are frustrated with Portenzo's service.

My price for a green interior on my 23.5, magnagrip+ elastic, and camera hole, was near a month of waiting ;p

No it wasn't in a monetary sense, mine was free too but since it's a costume made case I won't be able to return it... Like I would!! :)

Mine IS arriving friday, 2-day Fedex(upbumped from ground for my troubles(?))
as they were able to make it to Fedex/Kinko's at 8:27, now it has arrived at their local rerouting/distrib. center.

also, I guess mine is not returnable either, but I also doubt I'd want to, quite contrary, I may but a 76 a month or 2 down the line <3.

Lucky! I almost switched to the composition, but I can wait a bit longer, I hope I can. I think I might get an exotic leather for Xmas ... Or right before the rush season for the next iPad :D
 
I canceled my order. They keep telling me longer and longer release date. I give up and will buy another case. I am also decided i dont like the thickness of case when folded back I am liking the thinness of the iPad and smart cover and will buy a case that is thin.

I was so looking forward to the 23.5, but I cant wait forever. I may buy one at a later time if they ever get caught up.
