Sorry if this has already been pointed out, but I am not reading through all 11 pages. It would be hard to have a video chat on the iphone with the phone backwards. The camera is on the backside, not the front. So someone could see you, but you could not have a two way conversation.
the ichat guy from apples website also looks hispanic and goofy
oh and ichat can also communicate with aim users, which would be a plus for the people wanting to video chat, and maybe just chat from their iphone to aim users
Finally someone who agrees with meI have to say, even if these may be fake, I prefer the matte black back to the glossy black back of some of the other rumor photos.
LMAO!! This is fake.... I know this cause #1 the macbooks camera pictures look egsactlly like that and for those who own a iPhone or have seen the quality of the camera of the iPhones, they are prity freeking good. Apple woun't downgrade somthing. ESPECIALLY for a promo picture! and the Lock button on the (Red) is missing. Ive seen many people in Starbucks doing all kinds of iPhone designs and posting them. But anyways Nice job on the picture. Gotta give the person props. Just one thing..... Lets hope it will look like this and they will have a full on black cause hey... THIS IS FREEKING SEXY!!!![]()
Finally someone who agrees with me
What do you think of this:

I personally like it![]()
I hope the new iPhone is similar to this mock-up, just without the chrome border. I reaaly like the idea of a (red) one, too.
Please return to school.![]()
I concur. Come back when you don't have to phonetically spell exactly.
in the vault?
I know for a fact (RED) had a contract with Motorola that does not allow them to brand phones from any other company. That is that.
If it is a fake, and the person was going to put in VideoChat as a super fanboy feature, it would be straight up videochat to everyone's wildest dreams. Instead what we get, is a very realistic model for how it would work in concert with AT&T: phone-to-phone video chat via 3G (likely using your regular cell minutes for the audio portion, and 3G for the video), or phone-to-computer video chat via WiFi.
I'm hoping they make VIDEO CHAT available via wifi and 3G, that way, when as technology and bandwidth increases, the features will already be on the iPhone2. I admit, I will be extremely pissed off it's an iChat only feature. But the realistic side of me believe's it will be some WiFi only feature.
The Apple group works in a separate building across the street from the agency. you have to have a retinal scan to get in (no, i'm not kidding). They call it the vault.
This has already been discussed and is actually a very specific detail pointing towards "real" (or "extremely clever fake"). Current iPhone product shots show 9:42 AM because that's the exact time the iPhone was first introduced at MWSF 2007 (see MacRumors transcript). 1:25 PM Eastern is about 25 minutes after the keynote starts on Monday -- Eastern because the guy in the photo is in New York -- so it's probably right around when Steve will unveil the 3G iPhone. QED.If you look closely on this one:

The time is 1:25 PM... meaning it's fake, since on every iPhone/iPod touch picture by Apple it's 9:42 AM.
