People who are buying these do you have air pods or chosen them over air pods?
Definitely choose these over AirPods. For my needs a headphone that leaks in ambient noise would never work for me. Plus these will sound and fit better than AirPods.

I hope they do a UK pre-order, doubt it though. Really hope I can get a pair before June. I have gen 1 airpods but these look way better, better fit, will sound as they won't leak sound and won't fall out, plus they come in colours. I'll never understand why Apple seems to refuse to do coloured airpods or at least black as an option as I'm sure they would get quite a bit more sales.

I ordered. Will ship between 5/14-5/21. Yes they are expensive, but if they work well in the gym its worth it to me. I have Airpods, Bose Soundsports and Jabras. The Jabras work well in gym but all of them start to get weird once you start sweating. Hopefully with the hooks these will stay in place well. The Airpods are still my go to for regular use.

I really think people are over-reacting to the launch day thing. There's probably a good chance that 13/14 to 20/21 will actually end up on arriving on launch day for most people.
Yes this happened to my pre-order of AirPods 2, the scheduled delivery was one week after the launch date but it actually showed up at my door one day after the launch date. That seems to be normal.

This. There’s a lot of competition in the true wireless space and the Apple tax is pricing these toward the excellent sennheiser and master and dynamic headphones. They need to be stellar to justify the price. For 100 less there are a ton of very good alternatives.
if these are not satisfactory , then I would choose between Momentum and MW07. We shall find out soon enough.

I assumed with a preorder date and then an on sale date a week later it would be like Apple usually does, preorders get delivered on the launch date. I guess not mine also shows the 14-21 date which like means they will SHIP on the 10th. Oh well but a bit disappointing when folks probably can walk into the Apple Store on the 10th.

I'm going to walk into the store on the 10th and buy a set even though I've pre-ordered, when my pre-order arrives I'll just take it to the Apple store for a refund

I paid it in the hope expedited delivery would surprise me with a release date delivery.

That is certainly what I was led to believe. I guess from now on when I head "ships on X releases on Y" I will just assume that's not to be the case. Until I order an iPhone and it is to be the case.

The reason people thought there was going to be delivery on the release date is because that is their practice with MOST of their products---it's the experience I've had when ordering iPhones, AirPods and iPads---I assumed, not unreasonably, it would be the same with Beats Pro. The fact some people are roasting folks who were expecting to receive this product on launch day is baffling.

i guess i am one of the folks that was “roasting” people here on macrumors, i just want to say i was misunderstood and perhaps that was in the way i phrased my responses. i too was and am disappointed to not see “launch day” availability for preorders (although i’m starting to doubt there will be store availability on the 10th either) and i too assumed a $250 hyped for a month product would be similar to other high profile products. my “roasting” has more to do with several on here are upset that expedited shipping might arrive at the same time as standard and that expedited should arrive on launch day even if apple says it won’t. that’s silly to me, bottom line is apple was clear (if disappointing) about when to expect our preorders to arrive if we ordered than expedited and if we ordered them standard, neither showed the 10th so we simply can’t expect that or go around telling people not to worry it will likely arrive on the 10th etc.

If the case charged wirelessly I would had bought them, but its clear apple once again purposefully withheld that to sell the same thing again next year with wireless charging.

i’m in general agreement that it would have been nice to have a case that supports Qi charging but i find with my AirPods I only need to charge the case once a week or so and since both the AirPods and Powerbeats Pro have the same 24 hour total battery life (including case) i don’t think it is enough of a hassle plugging it in once a week for me to justify not enjoying a product until they give us a Qi case. Obviously my 24 hour a week total is just over 3 hours a day and I’m sure many might listen more but i doubt most listen more than 6 hours a day and that still is just charging twice a week.

Yeah I agree. I'm really bummed these don't have wireless charging. (Just feels like a no-brainer to drop them nightly on a charging pad.) But having said that, assuming the 24 hour battery life is correct, I will probably use my Pro's about 2.5-3 hours a day. So really I'm gonna be charging the case once a week or so. Not a huge deal.

Certainly the two cons before actually owning the Pro's are the lack of wireless charging and the bulky charging case. Everything else looks terrific.

I'm surprised by how they're under-selling these. Not only are they not on the front page of apple.com, they're not even on the front page of the accessories page.

Pre-Order.
1 colour initially shipping.
Not the first to have all the features from them, sports athletes will cover the advertising and these, if quality will rock.

Also ... Apple is working on a professional over the ear headphones that will compete with the Beats Studio3, keeping front page away from PowerBeats Pro ... saves a little 'mental space' for consumers later in the year.

From Digital Trends: "Inside the Powerbeats Pro is a speech-detecting accelerometer that identifies when the wearer’s jaw is moving through vibrations. Two beamforming microphones work in coordination with this sensor to filter out external noise and target the wearer’s voice."

Can't wait to get real world MacRumor reviews of the microphone performance during phone calls.

Many years back there was a headset that marketed this, jawbone I think - claiming to use military tech yet it sucked. Too much spent for paid reviews on forum sites didn't amount to much when real consumers got them in hands. I really hope these work for microphone use in apps and in calls as good or better than AirPods do.
