Powermac G5 Reflow/Heatgun Fix

I have a dead PowerMac G5 that appears to have a BGA RAM Slot failure, I have heard that some people have had success using a heatgun or an oven to rejoin the solder joint. Has anyone had any success (or failures) attempting to do this.

When I turn on my PowerMac I don't get the 3 flashing lights.
