Yes, it sure is. I will have money in about 45 days. Can't wait to see what it is I'll be buying. My last desktop (iMac) was a 400MHz G3. My current laptop is the 12" PB 1GHz. Therefore, regardless of whether G5's hit 3GHz, a dual 2.5 or 2.6 is going to be stupid-fast, not only in comparison to those machines, but to all of my friends PCs, which are currently anywhere from 1.5-2.6GHz themselves. 
looks like the new G5's are on their way. Question is are they going to update the Displays at the same time or wait until WWDC?

Bring on the new Displays and Powermacs. Next week give us new iMacs and then wow us with the software to run on these magnificent machines.

The rumor is that the new displays will only have DVI and not ADC, if that is the case it would appear logical that the new G5 powermacs will only have a DVI output, and hence would make sense to announce the displays at the same time. Time will tell I guess....

My card is ready too! This is just turning into a perfect day. In three hours time I am leaving a job which I hate to got to one which I love, for more money and less hours. And now they are realasing new Macs.

Apple boosts Power Mac G5 to dual-2.5GHz
Apple is about to announce "The new Power Mac G5".
According to information that was briefly posted on Apple's UK Web site briefly, the new Power Mac G5 will include dual processors across the board at up to 2.5GHz PowerPC G5, and a new liquid-cooling system and 8x DVD-R SuperDrive.
It will be priced £1,449 including VAT.
