I bet he 'Jobs' has a new G5. :(

Probably has had it for week, along with 8 Gig of RAM, a custom 256 graphics card, prototype new form factor metal 23" (30"?) screens, and a bloody two button mouse! Ok, maybe a prototype touch wheel mouse :D

I'm in for a rev B, but either hardware release would make me happy, as an Apple fan, cause i'm in for a powermac, but maybe more people are in for an iMac or Pbook, or Display. So if no pm's today or within a week, hopefully something else, so i can enjoy, and something that makes the wait for a G5 a bit more endurable...

And how much I want them to release G5's today, i'm just not getting my hopes up, cause I may get disappointed if nothing happens.

I still have my xp 1900+ to work on, and he'll still last a few weeks, I guess :)

And guess what !? Thats not his only toy.
I think that all his mac gear (as cool as it may be) is nothing compared to the private jet he received as 'salary' from Apple...

My £0.00000002 (ain't much, innit?).

Cupertino is California, so GMT-8..

it's now exactly 4u15 min..(night) So still 4 hours 45 min to go..And then another 12 hours where updates can happen.

and then another week
and another month..

The store is still up... it doesn't look like we are going to have anything today...

Many people said that updates were usually released at 9am EST which is GST -5. It's now 7.20 EST

Well, 9 AM EST (6 AM PST) has come and gone, and nothing.

Maybe it'll happen in a few hours, but I'm still going with the prevalent opinion that it'll be the 30th.

Yeah! My G5 rules!! Er, for another few hours, or another week...

Actually, I always thought the time is 10 EST -- when the first US Apple Stores open. Of course, if the announcement is a produce introduction that would ship later, I assume the announcement could come at any time of the day -- like a software update.

But if we hear nothing by 10 EST I would say there's not much chance of a new hardware announcement today. Ya got 50 minutes!

Hmmm.... so I have still have time to run up to the Apple Store in New Hampshire to hear the news in person! I mean, hey, they might have the new equipment in stock there right now! 3GHz PowerBooks with 19" screens! Yes! New PB, I'm coming to get you, baby!

Oh, sorry, just got a little too excited there. Maybe I should go take a little nap for, say, a bit over a week. Then I'll wake up in time to hear that they've bumped the iMac to 1.275GHz. :)

MacOSRumors, who I don't remember ever being right, seems to believe that the new G5s will be announced mid-April at NAB. But I can't, for the life of me, think why a bunch of broadcasters would care about G5s.

Well, they'll care because of the new dual-3GHz G5 daughtercard that's tuned to do QuickTime encoding. It fits somewhere into the 7 cubic feet of free space within the current G5 tower.

Well, no, really, you're right...why would they care?

No, no wait. A major announcement: Apple announced a new spokesman!

See Tuesdays are announcement days:
