Update, got mine through the Apple Store app on my iPhone.

Now, the options confused me a bit, I didn't make any change to my plan, so my unlimited data plan should just carry over, right?

Had to use firefox to get through the apple store. The website kept showing the maintenece message with safari.

Yeah it looks like either we needed to clear cookies or something. I had firefox refreshing but eventually tried chrome and went through without a hitch.

I had success with the Apple Store iPhone app. For me the Web based Apple store is still not loading. Process was really painless with the Apple Store app. I just went a bit back and forth with enabling the express checkout. I just wanted to make sure I was grandfathered in my data plan. I was able to confirm that while doing a regular checkout. Perhaps the express checkout would have also shown me this. Who knows. All in all, between waiting three or four minutes for the Web Apple Store, finding about the Apple Store app working fine and doing the deed I was done around 12:11, that's the time on the successful order e-mail. Thanks everyone, in particular those who shared about the Apple Store app working fine for the iPhone reservation

I used a friends account and his upgrade to buy the phone. I ordered using the iPhone app. The shipping address is not his billing address on his Verizon account and I used my billing address to process my debit card... Is my order going to be canceled?

I'm in LA and apple.com has been down since about 10.30 PM. Ordered my 32G Black through the iPhone app, so much easier than my iPhone 4S midnight experience 11 months ago.

Wanted to have it shipped to an address other than billing but that was not an option. Also could not use my Apple gift cards as it defaulted to stored Apple Store CC. Oh well, may have to drive from LA to SF next Friday to visit my brother, a beautiful City, and pick up my new phone!!!!!

Pre-ordered 4 separate phones for different family members, all from the Apple website. Pretty much all went through without a hiccup! A little slow but none of the processes took more than 3-4 minutes. Very happy with Apple!!

I was getting frustrated at first, but that was definitely an easy preorder! I ended up using safari on my phone and thats what did it! for some reason my macbook pro and ipad still say "We'll Be Back" when i refresh them

Tried ordering through the app but it wouldn't go through.

Jumped online. Store was down for a few extra minutes. Once it was up my order went through online painlessly.

I have a question... I guess I'll ask here since my thread is getting buried.

I just ordered 2 iPhone 5 devices for different cell phone numbers. When I got my email confirmations, I was a little confused because it said both of the orders were for the same phone number. Is this an issue, or should I not worry about it? I don't want 2 iPhones to arrive and have one not work for me. Thanks.
