In Nashville, coming to north central Illinois. Here is the funny one. I ordered 2 refurbished iPad 2, 32 gig. They are scheduled for delivery on 3/15/12 but they are still sitting in "Whoflungdung" China, so I guess they will be overnighted too.

Let us know if you get them tomorrow, that would be rather extraordinary. That's like 6-7000 miles in a day.

Waiting in Fort Lauderdale!

Mine has been there for a few days as well. Should be coming down to Florida anyday now.;)

Louisville, KY - 03/11/2012 - 11:26 A.M. - Arrival Scan

thats what its been saying for me for the last few days. haha. i keep checking thinking maybe i'll miraculously get mine a day early but, not holding my breath.

How odd..mine has been saying this since Saturday as well...just make it's way via UPS to Atlanta NLT 9am on Friday, March 16....9am...not whenever you make it to my neighborhood to deliver UPS guy...

is that really where they are?

Some time Thursday or Thursday evening, the lock up will be opened and the iPad 3 units will be released into the FedEx system. They will board a plane and arrive at everyone's local hub for delivery late Thursday night or early Friday am.

This is smart thinking on both Apple and FedEx to keep them secure and avoid that early delivery problem !

Our long wait is almost over:)

I'm thinking that sometime later today or just after midnight they will leave and be on the move to local hubs. A lot of places (like mine) are out of the way from local hubs so they usually need that extra day to make sure it gets there on time.

I am still betting the they do not release them till they just have to do so.

In the end it does not matter. I have already talekd to my FedEx man and he says he will drop by early for me! He says that they are bringing in extra help so do not be surprised to see a FedEx Ground truck to pull down your driveway as it will be "all hands on deck" for FedEx. BUT he says they can handle it!

thats funny when i went to school at Georgia Southern, we didn't think the internet had gotten to Swainsboro yet.

I'm gonna have internet no matter where I'm living. But yes, we have Pineland, AT&T, Northland, and all of the Satellite & cell data providers. Nothing extremely fast (about 6 mbps) but internet nonetheless.

I ordered the first day and it still shows as preparing shipment and a delivery date of Friday. Guess its going to do a 1/2 way around the world in 12 hours. :)

Northern IL. Been sitting in nashville for a few days with Future delivery requested. I'm going to have them hold it for me so I can pick it up in the morning!

Minnesota here too! I'll be working from home that morning if I can, but hoping it comes in early enough so am not home to long. Supposed to be beautiful on Friday, so would like to get out of work early enough to enjoy it. Would seem too coincidental to take a sick day probably :(

Yeah I have to set it up because its my wife's and then when she'll get home she will spend some time with it. The funny thing is because of how nice it was gonna be we were going to go to Stillwater saturday, but she asked yesterday "if we go to Stillwater I can't play with my iPad " I really love my wife.

Mine is sitting in Nashville as well... bound for central Arkansas.

Who else is taking off work on Friday to make sure they don't miss delivery? I'm not taking a risk with having it stolen by pre-signing.

I'm traveling on business this weekend anyway, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to spend a day at home with the kids. Not that it matters... all they want to do is play on their iDevices. ;)

Apple families rock. :apple:

Just having it delivered to my job.

However, depending on company size, how mail is handled I could see why some wouldn't want to go this route.

Yep! I thought seriously about it, but was worried one of the guys in receiving would steal it or manhandle it. Most of our people are classy, but it only takes one....

At least I get to spend the day with my kids. There's a consolation. :)

You could be FIRST!

All bets are off on Friday. FedEx will be far normal on Friday. The usual schedules will be out the window as they are bringing in "help"!
