Mine should arrive tomorrow, 2 days before schedule (or on time as per original estimate) as it's currently in my home city now.

Might "work from home" tomorrow aka setting up my MBP.

Did you opt for the expedited shipping or the standard shipping option during checkout?

We don't get a choice, it's just standard shipping in NZ

But standard shipping is usually next business day for in stock items, as it comes from Australia

So remember that UPS flight that mentioned earlier that is going from Shanghai to Anchorage and then finally to Louisville? UPS 33 (Sydney > Shanghai) and
UPS 81 (Shanghai > Anchorage), both flights are the same plane, a Boeing 747-400 and it has now landed in Anchorage (at 6:39 PM local time in Anchorage). Take a look at the 1st picture. I am anticipating/expecting that within the next hour or two that my tracking will be updated with a scan at Anchorage with "Import Scan" or "Arrival Scan." Still nothing at the moment. Take a look at picture 2.

My MBP is coming to the UK, normally the package heads west. This is the first time it has headed east.

Looks like it was on the flight you were looking at for the Shanghai to Anchorage.

Where it goes from there?????

Most likely to UPS world port in Louisville, Kentucky and then to UK? Anchorage, Alaska serves as hub for US/Canada West.

Okay so i ordered my custom build on 13th July with expected delivery on 25th. Couple of days ago Apple already send out the shipping for information to DHL and I got a tracking ID. Tracing said that shipping ifrmation was received but no movement of the physical unit whatsoever.

Today I was checking again and was surprised that the Apple tracking said: 27-31 Juli. At the moment there is no shipping information available. PLeasae try again later.

Never experienced that! Anybody has the same issue? Maybe they are holding back all the orders they can to hot-fix the thermals?

From what I can see it’s mainly the base level spec machines being sent early. Mine is still processing since 16th. Makes me wonder if they are holding back on shipping the i9’s

@bahmed - Initially I did order an i9/560 on 7/17, but cancelled it on 7/19 (was still showing ‘in progress’) and placed an order for i7/555. The second order was charged the next day and shipped one day later.

Something similar happened to me.
I ordered the 13''/i5/16GB/512GB machine on launch day. Canceled it on the 16th, because i was able to get the student discount. And then ordered it again (same configuration) on the same day. One day later it got charged and the next day it got shipped.

Seems like they still kept my original spot or something.

But it does seem to be in my Country now. (Unless they approve it before importing and it's still in the netherlands)

21 July 2018 1:11 - Zurich - Customs has approved the goods for import.

Hopefully i'll get it on monday. It still says tuesday though.

(Original date was 2nd - 6th August, so i can't really complain)

I'm not 100% sure what's going on with my order (15", 2.9GHz i9, 32GB, 1TB). Ordered at 16:29 on the 12th with the back to school offer. Delivery date is 20th to the 27th.

The £0 value authorization has dropped of my credit card with no other transactions from Apple and my order is still showing as "In Progress". Wonder if me selecting "Dispatch items together" has screwed it up as I won't get charged/tracking information until both items are combined in the UK?

Hey,

That spec is available for pickup in quick a few apple stores in the UK. Might be worth a look and see if they can do the BTS discount

Definitely unusual. Like you, my MBP has just landed at Louisville. Now looking for flights out of Louisville to Europe and seeing what times etc. There is a slight possibility of delivery tomorrow, but looking more like Tuesday

Mine's on the same plane. Seems like it missed the one to Cologne by 3 hours, so I'm also guessing it's probably going to be Tuesday.

Tuesday I think, there are few flights just taken off from Philly to the UK, so that could always be an option for tomorrow.

Too late for today I think, but Sundays.... Could have different flights so the packages are in place for a Monday morning delivery.... Heres hoping against hope!!

But is always good fun to watch the travels and try to 2nd guess which way it'll come

Mine was supposed to come the 20th, and was sent on the 17th. DHL Express however still only says 'Shipping information received'. Shipping date on the Apple website has now changed to 25-27th so not sure whats going on.

Edit: Maxed out 15" BTW

I ordered a maxed out 15, and I guess I'm one of the few with FedEx. It went from Shanghai to Memphis, with no apparent stops, in 23 hours. I know there are some long range 747 cargo planes with relief crews onboard, but still. That is a loooong flight. It was scheduled for Wed, but if things follow as in the past, it just cleared import this morning and it looks like Monday.

Mine looks like Tuesday, has been sitting at Louisville since this morning and not moved. No flight plans that I can find for flights from Louisville to Europe until tomorrow.

That's weird that it goes from China to the US then to Europe. You would think it would go from China, westward to Europe. I can never figure out their delivery structure.

I know what you mean. First time any apple product I have bought is heading eastwards. (Looks like 1.5 times the distance to travel rather than heading westwards)

I don't know, they usually don't. I have had an apple product sit for the weekend in Louisville, and deliver on Monday. Hopefully they will for you, just depends on what type of shipping apple shipped it at.

You were dead on with it sitting in Louisville over the weekend. They removed the scheduled delivery though, so I'm not sure what that means. It's a shame, I won't be able to pick it up from the store till Saturday either way :(

Good question, my hunch is to say no, but I could be wrong.

You were right, it just sat in Louisville

I ordered my i9/2.9/32GB/2TB on the 16th, paid for expedited shipping and it arrives tomorrow. I’m thinking of returning it unopened though since I am not keen on the throttling issues and have a 2017 that works fine.

I really think people are over-reacting, like they usually do in the tech world when issues arrive. The usual chicken little effect on the internet. The i9s still outperform and I suspect Apple can fix a lot of it with firmware updates.

Mine has also been sitting in Louisville since Friday morning. Cleared customs this morning and doesn’t have a delivery date anymore - it used to say Tuesday.
