Just surprised. I thought for sure that my MBP would be in the USA by now. Still sitting on clearing customs in Shanghai since Saturday. Hopefully, it shows it as being in Louisville (at least) by tomorrow!

Mine is in the same shipment as yours. Seems like there are some serious weather issues in Shanghai right now that is causing delays in the logistics supply chain. UPS is no longer giving me a delivery date estimate so I'm guessing it's the 27th or later now...I hope they don't have to route the shipment through Louisville but I think that will be the route based on some of the other shipping notices out there.

Looks like the UPS packages which are sitting in Louisville and due in Europe should be on this flight.
So should be a delivery tomorrow or Wednesday at the latest. Still earlier than the than Thursday 26th as Apple are saying on their website

Have come to the conclusion mine has been forgotten under a desk somewhere... 7 days later and it still says “processing”
That spec is available in a few of the stores if you can get there.
You can buy now and I think it is up to a week for you to get there and collect. A week is still faster then getting it built and shipped..
However, there maybe an argument for getting the MBP sent from China, just incase there is any quality control issues for the first bundle of the i9 chips
Has anyone received a MacBook Pro 13in with 16gb of ram outside of the model with 1tb of ram? Feels like they’re all in one shipment and have been taking forever.
Yeah, the big delay is making me suspicious there are some issues they may be trying to resolve, so I think I'll hold fire rather than pick one up. Leeds is my closest store and they don't seem to have that one anyway. Tomorrow is the beginning of the date range they gave me and for it not to even be preparing for shipment makes me suspicious.. Apple are usually pretty good with that.
And out of box damage, sigh. Can't say I'm surprised.. I'm generally cursed with electronics.

Fairly minor in the grand scheme of things, just a couple of dents and scuff marks. Will be asking for a replacement as it cost too much to receive in this condition.

Mine should arrive today but UPS usually deliver later in the day and I seem to have a lot of bad luck with "attempted deliveries" that I somehow miss despite being in all day and the delivery van never coming to my flat.
Mine has just shipped after sitting at 'preparing for shipping' for three and a half days.
Shipping to Australia, so it will arrive in Sydney tomorrow morning and off to Perth in the afternoon/evening, so I will have delivery on Wednesday (well that is how it has usually happened in the past).

Think it's just the latter, poor QC with having to rush out so many units. The box has no damage on it so I don't think it was related to shipping. As soon as I took it out of the box it sat on top of the box while I set it up so it hadn't moved far.
Yeah, I've received iPad's with defects in the screen and had them replaced. It's quite a hassle, but at least they send you a replacement before you send the defective one back.

- Switched to "Shipped" Tue 17th, ready to pickup 25th
- Still showing pickup 25th as of just now
Regarding credit card reservations, it's worth noting that normally a pre-authorisation will hold for up to 30 days (depends on provider, 30 days for me). On Monday 16th, the pre-auth vanished (ie. full available balance), meaning Apple consciously did this. On Wed 18th, the money came out. So I think the pre-auth vanishing is a good sign - likely it indicates they've started the build/preparing for shipping.

Out of interest does anything change (prior to dispatch) status wise when it is night time in China? Refreshing the status page but bit pointless if it only changes in business hours.

The TNT app gave me a push notification, that it's now on the way to be delivered.
So i instantly left work and drove home without throttling.
5 Minutes later the guy arrived. Lucky!
Now back at work. The MBP will have to wait.
But it arrived quite a bit earlier than the projected 2nd - 6th August date

Most of them including mine did go through Japan. Unluckily, mine has been sitting in Louisville since midnight Saturday and still hasn't moved. Also they removed my scheduled delivery date. Mine is going to Delaware, so close yet so far
