Unless Apple all of a sudden abandons all of their design principles, those colors are NOT going to be used.

Make YouTube video, have news sites report on video, driving people to watch video... Man, I need to get in on this game.

1) Set up my own YouTube and social media channels
2) Make random guesses about upcoming Apple products
3) Profit
You forgot the step where you earn 300,000+ subscribers to your YT channel. If you want that, you'll have to have great content over many months. Rene Ritchie has tremendous content, and he's at ~224k subscribers after 10 months.

If you want to "get in on this game", that's how you do it. Get busy!

I could care less about the cuteness factor or colors of these Macs.

I want to buy a computer that is somewhat upgradable and repairable.

If these are NOT. NO DEAL.

As long as I can run the programs I need to run. Even if Intel CPU's a tad slower , I will stick with INTEL MACS.

This is cool, but ONLY if they also update the current cheese grater Mac Pro case to have an Apple Silicon option.

They just got done with the update everybody has been screaming for for years, so are they really just going to revert back to something not modular again for the next iteration???

In an ideal world there would be this new form Mac Pro, let's call it a "Mac Pro mini". Then there would also be the current full "Mac Pro" that is modular and (somewhat) futureproofed.
All rumors so far point to the fact that the smaller Mac Pro will live alongside the new cheese grater.

I am convinced the cheese grater will get Apple Silicon in the future, but not the first gen M1. Something more powerful, compatible with a separate GPU and upgradeable RAM.

As for the form factor of the smaller Mac Pro, I'd be disappointed if it doesn't have at least a couple of PCI slots.

I have a feeling I'll be dissappointed with the bezels not being slim enough.

As I sit writing on my iMac, I can barely see the color except in the chin. I don't really think Apple will do this, mainly because of the logistics of stocking 5 different iMacs because of color. There are already 3 different processors in 2 different sizes, that 6 is iMacs. Add 5 color options and that makes 30 different iMacs to stock in stores, not reasonable.

This guy's record is so much more miss than hit. Nearly 10 months ago he told us the new Apple TV "project Neptune" was ready to go at any time yet there has been no new Apple TV. This guy probably has a source somewhere on the supply chain but he's not to be trusted - a stopped clock is correct at least twice a day. I could make up my own Mac Rumors based on likely product releases and I'd probably have a better track record than this guy.
Agreed, and I wish Macrumors would just stop using him as a source. Trash mouth at best and an embarrassment

Isn't a Mac Pro of whatever size going to be somewhat of a challenge with Apple silicon?

Part of the expressed advantage of the M1 chip's architecture is that the memory is built into the chip, which gets around various communications busses.

So, if you presume that one of the big reasons for a Pro model to exist is for user expansion options, just how would that work? Maybe they'll set up some RAM that is user expandable and acts like a RAM disk to handle a lot of that virtual memory shuffling that seems to be a current point of interest on the existing M1 based Macs. (Obviously that is just an unsubstantiationable stupid wild guess - I don't have a YouTube channel...)

The other usual expectation for a Pro model is faster operation. External RAM may hinder that. Dunno.

Did he see all five colors from the front? Not very likely. He is speculating on colors. I rather take iPhone 12 colors.

Stacking 3-4 Mac mini on top of each other with a large heat sink suggest that there will be no PCI slots. That Mac Pro mini would cater for the iMac Pro crowd having Ethernet connection to servers. I believe that the Mac Pro Max ( cheesegrater) M chip will not be released until next year.

Not very good as far as guesswork renders go. I’d go as far as to say “crashing bore”.

Wait -- multiple posters here are complaining about these colors -- and Apple's decision to use these colors -- based on a speculative render of what colors might look like?

Apple Silicon allows the iMac to be super slim like an iPad Pro. In that case the ports would be along the side not on the back.
Now picture all your ports plugged in to the side of the computer hanging out over your desk.

Then ask yourself, will this actually happen.

I'd be worried about the Mac stack-mini having the same problem that killed the Cube -- cooling can't keep up. Other than that, I'll admit I'm curious. As long as it's not six thousand bucks.

I wonder if some of the posters missed the fact that the mini Mac Pro has been predicted in January by other, more ‘reliable’ rumour peddlers already.

As a Graphic Designer, I can guarantee these will sell like hotcakes to artists who do the "copied the Ikea desk set up from my favorite YouTuber with the fake succulent plant" gimmick.

You will see 1000's of videos of these things "BEST iMAC EVER?" with little bubbles in the corner of the screen "M1X!"

Whether this particular rumor pans out or not, it just seems to make sense we'll see an M1 (or M2??) iMac this year one way or another. I just hope there's a big option on par with the current 27" iMac 5K -- and that my 2014 iMac 5K can be coaxed along until it comes out.

Exciting times for Apple users, whether or not the rumors are true. We are likely getting new M powered Macs, new iPad Pro, new iPad Mini, Apple Watch Series 7 with Blood Glucose monitoring (game changer for diabetics who can afford the watch).
