Are you actually believe what you just wrote? Or are you just being sarcastic to make a point?
Yes I believe that but i’ll elaborate.

The mini designs are sleek and ultra-portable while the XR design is clunky and outdated. For as long as the minis have been out, they’ve been priced above the XR/11 design. That’s made the mini a hard sell for many people — why would they pay $100 more for a smaller phone?

I think that an iPhone SE 4 in the mini design would sell better than the same phone in the XR design — and these sales would be instead of a more expensive iPhone. If the cheapest phone is still sleek and modern in features and design, less people are likely to pay more for a bigger/newer phone.

Is Apple downgrading the future SE4 compared to the other offerings? The current SE3 is a pretty good deal with a current chipset (I have one) but this SE 4 if true does not convince me. How about the mini reborn as SE? That would be a good reuse of a design that didn't sell well at full price.

This article isn't too helpful without any mention of whether the next SE will have 5G support.

LOL Prosser. How many times have you been wrong about iOS devices as a whole? Exactly. Time for you to go into hibernation until next year when iPhone 15 comes out.

Just like the iPads, thats what I suspect they want to do:

iPhone SE 3 - 299
iPhone SE 4 - 429
iPhone 15 6.1 - 799
iPhone 15 Plus - 899
iPhone 15 Pro - 999
iPhone 15 Pro Max - 1099

Basically, covering every price point. If Apple can't get you at the high end or middle, there is something for you at the bottom. On top of that, if you do a trade in, that iPhone SE 3 could actually drop down to 199 making it the cheapest iPhone to date.

One of the arguments for a cheap mini phone was that it would sell well internationally, I gather so far it has not caught steam in places like India, anyway another strategy would be Tim Cook deciding that services is king and with almost full worldwide smartphone ownership, any possible way Apple can sign up more people for their services is the future, we shall see, most here probably would not believe that Apple would offer a $299 phone, it would be cool if you turn out to be right.

I just think the 4.7 inch screen would be the biggest issue there. Everyone or most need a decent size phone these days. I would recommend maybe offer a next generation iPhone Touch ID model in 5.5 would be recommended. They are still popular and I see many in use.

Rumors have it the TouchID would be in the power button on the side like with the ipad.
That would be cool. Disappointed they just vapored the SE+ I used the SE2020 when masks were crazy, but it was too small for primary use, so once masks faded I went back to my PM. But now at least I can use it for Apple things.

Looking forward to this one!! Still using my 11 since it's LCD. I'm one of those that get headaches from the OLED phones. Used the SE and it's fine but a little too small and I like the 11 since it does not have a home button and uses the same gestures as the flagship models.

So an iPhone SE Plus based on the 8 Plus design, knowing Apple. I'd hope they would make a new design for it, as large 9:16 phones are too wide in my opinion to be used comfortably.
Its about mindshare and not to price yourself out. My recommendations are for Apples best interest. That iPhone touch ID 5.5 means: an Apple Watch SE, a 9th gen iPad, monthly payments for iCloud storage and possibly Apple TV+.

So there will officially be no smaller iPhone in the lineup next year. Stupid. I had the XR, and it was a great phone but too big. The 12 I have now, with the same size screen, feels so much smaller because of the flat edges. Apple is giving the middle finger to anyone who wants a smaller phone.

Then I'll be using a used iPhone 12 or 13 mini until that dies. Then, if Apple still hasn't made a new reasonably-sized iPhone, I'll be out of the "eco system".

Don't worry, the iPhone Mini will be reincarnated as the next generation iPhone SE4 at $449.99

Indians and even people in Jamaica look at iPhone SE and compare it with the big screen Androids they can get for way cheaper than the SE; and say to themselves whats the point? I just need to access Facebook and TikTok. I just don't think Apple wants to race to the bottom but if they are looking for growth beyond 1.2 billion, they might have to take a different strategy. With the current world economy looking the way it does and potential it might remain that way for a while, its not good.

now that SE comes to 4th gen and 5th is on its way. it's kinda like Apple still has a lot of spare parts from previous generation and also would like to cover lower-end market. They gotta be like... oh let's assemble those old parts together. we do not want to waste them but we install in the latest chipset
