To be fair I predicted this first and have the forum posts to prove it. I also have at least as good a track record as Prosser.

My sister has an XR, and while the screen is huge the odd resolution 1792 x 828 meant you didn't gain any screen real estate, everything was just larger on the screen. Great for someone with old eyes I guess.

People with bad eyes crank the text size up even more until everything looks like Minecraft. In a very small window.

My father has a XR since 2018 and so far he enjoys it. It was a really successful design in the market it targeted and I guess it was only the logical step to be next in line for the SE generation. But I guess that also means the SE 3 was the last product to feature the Touch ID technology.

Are you actually believe what you just wrote? Or are you just being sarcastic to make a point?
I’d be ecstatic. I have to switch from my 12 mini to a 13 mini sometime soon as it’s end of the line for this form factor.

No, no, no, no, no.
always has been as simple as can be.

Old, outdated design with all main components at least one generation behind. Put in the latest SoC and a few conservative upgrades to the internals. Voila. $429!

Cannot be a new mini with OLED because then it competes with mid tier iPhone.

Cannot be mini with LCD because then Apple has to spend r&d for a new device.

It’s Xr with whatever is going to be the latest SoC when it drops.

SE formula has never changed and never will.
The original SE had flagship internals (6S internals, which was half a year old when the SE was released).

So apparently the unwashed "bigger is always better" masses have rejected any notion of a mobile phone that has a screen less that 6", weighs less than 6 oz, and costs less than $800.

Idiots.

Not that I would buy this for my own use (it's way too big) but I have an Xr for work and it's HEEEAAVVYY. Hopefully they at least base the thing on the 11 so people can unlock with FaceID when wearing a mask. The Xr doesn't support that. SMH.
