I can assure you the new MBP will abandon the Touch Bar and will still be silver and black, carrying the same design language of the Mac Pro and the Pro Display XDR. Source: those recent ransom leaks
Cool. I'd still prefer an Air with black bezels.

I mean, since we're changing the colors in order to keep with the product in line with the iMac we'd have to change to name as well to something like "iBook." Why does that sound familiar...

We won't have iBooks anymore. It'd have to be iMacBook or MaciBook or something truly weird, since it has to have the word MAC in the product name. Like we don't know it's from Apple due to the gigantic Apple logo on the back of the laptop or something...

I want that colour options (or at least more any colours) for PRO devices like MacBookPro or iPad Pro. Dont want to look so serious and conservative with grey shades only. ✌️🎨🟠🟡🟢🟣🔴
forget it - not gonna happen

Can we stop with this clown Prosser? With the exception of one or two (Miani, Tailosive, even though he repeats himself over and over) I am SO sick of these youtube clowns.

That being said, bring on the colors! Just please, the option of white or black bezels, if for nothing else, to cut down on the number of youtube clowns who will no doubt complain about that.

My M1 MBA is an amazing device.
If you’re so sick of him, why not avoid the articles? Literally the first word of the title would give you the indication to do so.

The bezels definitely should be white, and the keyboard as well, to keep the design coherence. But I seriously doubt we'll see colorful MacBooks. The palm rest areas would likely be washed out in a matter of months, making the whole thing look terrible. Unless they have invented a new dyeing method that we don't know of.
White bezels are a stupid idea because the light they reflect reduces the apparent contract of the display. This was a huge reason why people would get black iPhones and put white cases on them instead of the white phone with white bezel.

As long as the keep a silver or space gray with a black bezel as an option that is fine. That is my biggest complaint about the new iMac. 7 color options but not a single one with a black bezel.

Well, the google chrome books do well with color base computers, So I guess colors would be good for a MacBook beginner model. I still like the space gray for my MacBook Pro 16 with 32gb of ram and 6TB of SSD storage. The space gray hides any kind of scratches/marks or dirt over the years. But the colors worked for the original iMac and iBook. So what is old is new again :)

Awesome! I'd love to get a yellow or green MBA! I'm curious if they'll make the inside a lighter shade like the front of the iMacs or choose the saturated version. White bezels would look great with the lighter colors and black would look great with the saturated colors.

Also, no bezel is the direction of things. They can reduce it farther, and once you reduce the bezel as much as possible then there's no point to the white bezel. It is the standard choice for displays for more than marketing reasons.

Well, make sure you pick the right color if you get one, because if you want to go and sell it down the road, people might not want to buy your system if it is a weird color.

I NEED the MacBook Pro to have these colours. I can’t deal with another generation of just space grey and silver. So boring.

I see Jon Prosser, immediately stop reading. Why does this platform use that joke to base its news feeds on? Lol
He’s wrong sometimes and right sometimes. He’s called a few specific dates that nobody had predicted before him. He was also the first person to call colors on the iMacs before anyone had even thought of that.

You can say you don’t like him, but the idea that he’s just throwing out nonsense and is wrong all of the time is just not true.

The particular source Prosser is taking this from is the same one that called an April event when everyone else was saying March, called colors on iMacs before anyone, etc. Apparently they’ve been 100% accurate, though they’re often cryptic.
