If / when the Mac Mini is updated I bet they will use soldered high speed PCIe flash storage like the latest MacBooks and MacBook Pros. This would enable a much smaller form factor.
I have an idea!
Why don’t All of us that want an updated Mac Mini post a message directly to Tim Cook, Phil Schiller and whomever is the head of their computing engineering department on Twitter repeatedly over the course of a day, week and month. He’ll crash their account until they get with the F’ing program!!
Only if you're poor
What's the deal with ALL THOSE PORTS????
What does Apple think this is, 2012??????
If no flexibility of ports is good for the iPhone and MBP, why is the Mini plagued with all those awful user-friendly ports??????????
I sure hope they update the Mac Mini just so it can finally end the constant complaining about them not updating it on here.
My maxed out 2012 still works a charm in combo with the Thunderbolt Display
It’s not been my main computer for a few years, but it’s still highly capable and sees quite a lot of use. A great purchase.
Isn't it criminal they STILL sell a 3.5yr old hardware as NEW in all their stores?!
Yep, they have one or two on display at my local storeHas anybody actually SEEN a mini on display in any of the Apple or 3rd party stores, I haven't for over two years now.
Haven't seen a mini in a walk-in store in ages either, for the last two years I can't remember if I even saw an iMac (unless it's a non-Apple retailer), Apple Stores are all about iPads, iPhones and Macbooks (of all kinds).Has anybody actually SEEN a mini on display in any of the Apple or 3rd party stores, I haven't for over two years now.
Why?I'm going to say it: the day Apple updates the Mac mini, if that day comes, I'll order it on day one. Just for the sake of it.
The iMac isn't a replacement for the mac mini.
This, while keeping one or two models available for low-priority markets at little to no effort (MBA, Mac Pro, and the mini). Why will a company that practises planned obsolescence, to drive sale of new more expensive products, would update low cost Mac Mini, when not updating Mac Mini might be more sales of other expensive Mac models?
