Radio Shack iPhone 5 pre order

I preordered a 32 gb black last friday around 8:30 PM. Called today to check the status around 2:30. The clerk didn't know anything and said he'd call his manager and call me back. I never got a call. I called back just now and a different clerk told me that if I preordered last Friday I'd be able to pick up my phone tomorrow as long as I scheduled an appointment. I asked if 9:00 am was available (when the doors open) and she took my name and put me down.

Of course she didn't seem to be verifying whether or not the phone I ordered was in stock, so now I'm just hoping I don't get there and find out they don't have my phone. I suppose I could have asked but I'm not really wanting to set myself up for any bad news.
 
Hi guys,
I pre ordered my iPhone 5 16gb AT&T on the 12th and just got a call from radio shack that my phone has arrived and can pick it up tomorrow at 10:00 a:m. Can't wait to get that bad boy.
 
Does anyone know if Verizon Iphone's will be shipped tomorrow? The only people that seemed to get a call were with the other carriers.
 
I pre ordered mine the 14th, I called twice today they said it was delayed :( Said they'd call me if they come in. Im tempted to try going in the morning anyway what do you guys think?
 
Just called my store where I had placed the PO, they have not received the phones, but expect to receive the shipment tomorrow @ 11 AM. Once the shipment comes in, they will be calling those who preordered... Let's see how it goes?!?
 
So it looks like verizon are the one's being delayed.

Apparantly at my store they only received Sprint/AT&T, and verizon shipment might get there in the morning.
 
No luck here, they said my ATT preorder didnt arrive and may have to wait till next week...So far I have failed with the ATT preorder and now the Radioshack preorder! Plus I wasted $50 on damn giftcard. So far this has been a terrible release for me....Im going to try my luck lining up tomorrow at an ATT store :mad:

Same thing happened to my brother, which is why I'm going to Apple tonight. Seemed a bit shady from the beginning, the sales associate sounded very misinformed

As for the $50 gift card, you could order games online. Best way I can think of spending the money
 
Just got a phone call from my RS i PO from. The manager informed me that they did NOT receive their shipment as planned. They were expecting a shipment either tonight or tomorrow.

Looks like either they will receive a shipment tomorrow morning or were SOL for who knows how long. I PO from a very small RS with not much business so this might be the reason.

Hoping I receive a call tomorrow morning informing they have my unit but I'm doubting it. Oh well, you take risk and you win some / loose some.



And for anyone complaining about not getting their phone saying "oh RS is garbage, ****** them." Seriously? You knew what you were getting into when you PO the most hyped phone EVER. It's not RS fault. If you want to blame someone because you can't come to the fact that you took a risk and lost, blame Apple for not making enough units.

I was told the same thing to call between 8-9am, since you said there receving phones at 7am, so I guess they have to sort them out.

I really need to know if there even going to have them tommrow if not I'm just going to have to camp out at a Sprint Store.
But IDK what to do. If they don't have them then I'm screwed and fuped waiting at the Sprint store.

I talked to the manager and she said who ever preordered at there store on Friday (The 14TH) that they would %95 for sure be getting it since they told corporate how many they need for pre orders made Friday - Monday.
Really doesn't make sense what she said. But I'm praying I get my iPhone!!:mad::eek::apple:

I did the same thing! I called a store a few miles away from the RS Store, and I soon as I called asked if they got any iPhone 5 Shipments in they said "Sure let me check if have one with your name on it" and I said "No I preorder at another store but they didn't get there shipments yet and I wanted to see if all the RS Stores didn't get any shipments." There answers was "Yes we got them in and were calling customers to pick them up tommorw" . I got so said :(:mad:
I was the 4th person on the Pre order list so I think I'm okay :)

The guy just crossed out the black and put white...so then I got a little curious as to whether or not my phone would actually be in. It worked though! So I'm happy :)

Me neither! I wanted a 32GB White! Total BS!! I'm going to another RS to exchange the 16GB for a 32GB wehn they get some in stock.

Yes in fact I check my tracking # from verizion /FedEx and its departed from Memphis TN. 2 hours ago!!!:):D:) cant wait to pick it up tomorrow !

No I don't have it on receipt .like I said before RS just made me get a 50$ gift card to preoder from them but since im a verizion customer it's handled by verizion from then on I got the email from verizion with the confirmation like 2 min after and then Wednesday I got the FedEx track# 21 Friday I'll have it:D hope that helps

Yea I hear you Verizon charges you up the a$$ but I've had them for 5years and I always have great service ,no drop calls , great tec support and reliably from them . So f it I'm happy :) I hope you get your phone

I use to have Verizon a few months ago, no lie about the Cust. Service & Tech Support. But I was paying almost $200 a month for 2 iPhones W/ 5GB of Web Each. Sprint is ok too, the only reason I like them because I'm a data HOGGER. I use my phone for everything when I'm not at home. And I wouldn't have got Sprint if they didn't have the iPhone lol.

Thanks BTW I have to call RS in 6hours to see if my iPhone 5 is there:mad: I hope it is! I go back to school on Monday and need a phone ASAP. I don't want to settle for a piece of s*** G S3 made of plastic, or a 4S. I WANT MY IP5!!!:eek:

I live in the West Coast so no Radio Shack is open here.
But I called 10 different Radio Shacks in a different state in the East Coast and pretended and asked if I could pick up my iPhone 5 Pre Order.

They asked what was my name and what carrier I Pre ordered and I said (John Doe) I Pre ordered with Sprint, All of there responses were "We are currently waiting for the Sprint iP5 shipments to come in between 7am - 9am, and that they have been there since 6:30AM, we are for sure getting between 3-6 iPhones from Sprint, so if your under 6th on the list you will be getting it most likely and we will call you when we get them"

I am so freaking happy!! Can't wait anymore!,:p

:) Thanks for doing that. Here's to hoping not a lot of people ordered from my carrier at that store.
 
They have my phone! I just called and they got 1 16g black and 1 16g white from AT&T! I'll be there at 9am sharp!:D:D:D
I ordered at 11am on the 17th.

Just remember, just because one store got theirs like that doesn't mean yours will. You could have gone to a super busy store and 20 people could have PO before you did. Just don't get your hopes up to high.

I was told they don't normally stock the 32gb but you could preorder it. I am unsure if they will have any stock of the white 32gb in after all the preorders are taken care of - unless someone doesn't come in to pick it up...

I'd ask your RS.

Exactly. Mine was the only preorder that came in yesterday. There were a bunch before me. I was the last person to have my order placed. So the people who ordered Friday aren't getting theirs today...unless it comes in this morning..
