I actually asked when I went to the store around 5PM last Friday, they had 4 iPhone 5 PO'S (Verizon & AT&T), and I was the first Sprint PO (5TH PO).
So I think I'm fine.

I actually asked when I went to the store around 5PM last Friday, they had 4 iPhone 5 PO'S (Verizon & AT&T), and I was the first Sprint PO (5TH PO).
So I think I'm fine.
Sounds like they did poor on their PO so their district manager said sell x amount of phones before a certain date or else. lol
Sounds weird. Maybe her and her DM are possibly selling them on CL for 1K to make $$, or saving it for there friends.
Or possibly they didn't meet a quota of selling XX phones before the DM submits there PO'S to RS HQ.

Just talked with Radio Shack. They said Sprint didn't send them ANY phones. Apparently, I was the ONLY one to order from Sprint. Surprisingly, I'm not mad that they didn't get any phones, I was kind of expecting it based on the other threads. I'm more upset that I can't get my gift card refunded.
This is the second issue I've run into trying to get the phone. Maybe its a sign...

No...I've posted in this thread a couple times in regards to this preorder.

Dang that sucks, Can I ask what city you did your PO in? Maybe your store didn't meet the quota of PO'S they need for the Sprint iP5

And the first 2 stores said there shipments are coming around 1PM, the last one said they only have enough for there PO'S.
Is the RS you did your PO in a busy Shopping Center?
This blows! First RS tells me that PO start Friday the 14th, then I found out that they actually started PO's on the 13th. Then when I ordered (at&t) it they made it sound like, "no problem, you'll have your phone on the 21st" but now when ever I call they tell me that I prolly won't get it and they might only get 1 or 2. Menominee falls, wi.
Mine were not in last night so I camped out at the Apple store in Boca and was about #15 in line (out of about (300+). Got two Black 32Gb ATT. They were low on 32Gb White ones. If mine come in I will just let them go to the next person.
I am loving the phone so far. They weren't kidding when they say the first thing you notice is how light it is. Then how thin it is.

It seems they give the RS Stores in bigger city's higher priority.
I guess in small towns and rural areas they get a few iPhones (1-3) vs big cities getting 5+
Really...that's interesting. Actually, without giving my exact location I preordered in Baltimore county. Those stores listed are downtown in the city. The one I preordered with is in a strip mall that isn't busy at all.
The person I just spoke with said he had a conference call with his District Manager yesterday about how they have no plans to receive Sprint shipments as Sprint didn't send them anything. He said Sprint was sending the majority of their phones to their own stores most likely. I would assume if those stores received Sprint stock then my store knew about it, as DM's handle many stores. It's cool though, I'll get it sooner or later.
What a kill, or maybe there giving most of there stock to the stores with the most PO'S. Who knows.

So I waited in line at Verizon this morning and was told that I couldn't upgrade and buy the phone with Verizon because I've already pre ordered with RS. I called RS to cancel my order but they can't cancel the order until the phone comes in and they have the serial number. That means if the phone doesn't come in for weeks than I can't buy the phone from anywhere else until it comes in. Did this happen to anyone else?
I preordered a iPhone 4S at Target last year but then I just decided to go buy it at Apple on launch day, I had Target cancel the line they open, and they did. It should be the same with RS.
I walked into RadioShack at 8:00 AM this morning, left with my 2 phones, activated, by 8:40. I was the only one there. Easy, painless. Drove by the AT&T store on the way to work and held up my iPhone box as I drove by the line that went around the block
