That's what I thought. I think I'll probably end up buying the Amazon gift card. I was thinking of going into the store when they called me that one of my iPhones were in and seeing if anyone was looking for an iPhone and just sell them my gift cards to take my spot. I don't know if it would work.

That's what I thought. I think I'll probably end up buying the Amazon gift card. I was thinking of going into the store when they called me that one of my iPhones were in and seeing if anyone was looking for an iPhone and just sell them my gift cards to take my spot. I don't know if it would work.

I just got off the phone with the DM in Las Vegas, and he said RS was only able to order 90,000 Sprint iPhone 5'S for all 17,000 stores.
So do the math, each store will only be getting 5 Sprint iPhone 5'S.
If you did your PO last Friday and were under 5TH on the Sprint iP5 PO list, then you should except a call from RS today to come pick up your iP 5 if you didn't get one already.

Are they telling you there still waiting for the Sprint shipments to come in?
I'm going to the store when I get out of school at 4PM lolwell they said they can "upgrade swap" but its not really an upgrade swap...basically another line on my account is available for an upgrade, however, the person who uses that line lives on the other side of the country (1500 miles away), so when radioshack rings the phone up for me, they HAVE to activate the phone on the line eligible for an upgrade, THEN they will swap the phone to my line...only problem is, is once the iphone has been activated on the elibigble line, the person whose line the ugrade is taking place on will lose service with their current phone and have to go to att to get another sim card...since the person lives 1500 miles away, and has no idea about cellphones or anything of that nature, i am basically forced to pre order and then activate by calling att
Yea, but your going to have to call CS to cancel your order, since Radio Shack placed a order on your behalf.

I just saw a whole bunch of people on here waiting for there Sprint iPhone 5 to come in @ RS. Most people already picked up there AT&T & Verizon PO'S.
Preordered my iPhone 5 on the 12th at the shack in ft myers fl.I Called today and they said they didn't recieve the sprint I phone yet. I didn't think I would be this anxious/excited over a phone! (this is my first Apple device. Does anyone think ill be waiting a week or two for my phone?

After running around to a half dozen stores this (numerous ATT and RS, Walmart and finally Best Buy), I was able to find a 32GB Black ATT available at BB. I had to wait like 90 mins for them to set up this one guy in front of me...
I'm glad I don't have to wait it out for RadioShack anymore. I am bummed I have that $50 GC to RS, but I'm thinking I'll go the Amazon or even iTunes GC route vs buying anything else from them right now.
As a note, many places seemed to have 16GB versions of the phone, and I was almost going to grab one from ATT this morning (they'd let me switch it out for free later on), but they said they had 64GB versions coming in later and I got a voucher for that. I just got the call around 3:30pm that it was in, but I let them know I was all set and to pass it along to the next interested party.

I'm patiently waiting as well for Sprint. I am number 1 PERIOD no matter the carrier as I pre-ordered right at opening last Friday. So I'm obviously under the 5th on the Sprint Ip5 list. Who usually delivers to Radio Shack? UPS, FedEx, what? They close at 9 so I have 5 hours. I'm in Washington DC. The store is in Downtown DC.
I was the first PO last Friday for Sprint too!
Verizon & AT&T with FedEx, which means they get everything earlier.
Sprint delivers W/ UPS, and there policy is they deliver to business before they close.
My Radio Shack ONLY got their Verizon phones today. They were "supposed" to get ATT today but didnt, they'll call me as they come in. *sigh* I have no idea where they are.
This whole system is set up for mass sales, not in mind for the customer.
They take as many sales as possible and then that's all they care about. If it was with customer in mind, they would know the exact amount each store is going to get and only preorder those. I'm sure people would much rather hear "im sorry but we sold out of our preoders" instead of " you most likely will get it Friday but I can't promise you anything / Sorry your phone didnt come "

I am irritated. I called RS this morning. Some guy answered that was very rude. Told me they didnt receive any at&t shipments in today. I just called my local Apple store and they have my 16gb white and 32gb black in stock but said I should hurry up and get there if I want the phone. Ugh I am at work. I cant just leave. I dont want to wait on slow a** RS for my phone either. I am stuck in between a rock and a hard place. lol
Yea there being so greedy, they need set up some type of system.
They should have a limit on Pre orders at all the stores, EX only 5 iP PO'S a day for guaranteed delivery.

what confuses me is that I called the radioshack in the mall and they had there Sprint Ip5, but then I call the single radioshacks and they claim they havent recieved shipment yet. Can anyone explain How did this possible?

I got a call on my way home from work from RS, but with the guy I preordered with. He said they didn't get any Sprint shipments in (like I was told earlier) but he told me they should be getting them tomorrow.
I asked if he was sure or if he was assuming as the other guy said he had no idea and didn't see anything from sprint due to come in. He just said that it was for sure coming tomorrow. I take that with a grain of salt of course. I work in DC and decided to call a RS around the area, they said they only received one sprint phone and it was preordered, he put me on a wait list there. Now, I'm just waiting. I honestly don't want to be stuck with this card so I'd rather buy from RS if I can.

Nice! I just got back from radio shack and watched the screen show session timed out each time he got to a certain screen regardless of how long it took to get to that screen. Ugh. Still no phone.
I have no idea. When I called they said I should get there as fast as I can if I want the phones. I didnt ask about the buy back program. They had me on hold for like 10-15 minutes before I spoke to a sales rep.
