Radio Shack iPhone 5 pre order

My RadioShack just called (preordered Monday, Verizon 32gb) and said they accidentally could have sent orders out to residents. And it might be at my house. I didn't even pay for it, what a screw up. Also they said they hope for it to be in Monday if it's not there

That happened to me too-took 45 minutes-not RS fault.

Yes,thanks.But the SIM that came in my phone had to be swapped to my old number,long story as I added a line to avoid the $250 added cost to upgrade and also keep my May 13 upgrade.
Mine was 1 of 2 that arrived and even the manager's did not.But they were expecting at least 1 more shipment today.AT&T sold out and another shipment arrived when I was there.

Dont worry, the new iPhone 5 uses a smaller sim. You have to get a new one anyways.

Good info but some logic is missing.You assume tha all RS are the same size and have the same number of orders.My RS is small and I'm sure they didn't have nearly as many orders as a huge store would have but I see your point.
I just got off the phone with the DM in Las Vegas, and he said RS was only able to order 90,000 Sprint iPhone 5'S for all 17,000 stores.
So do the math, each store will only be getting 5 Sprint iPhone 5'S.
If you did your PO last Friday and were under 5TH on the Sprint iP5 PO list, then you should except a call from RS today to come pick up your iP 5 if you didn't get one already.
Sorry to break the news to everyone!
My local RS shockingly got a black 16GB in, but I'm debating on whether to get one now or to wait until Apple sorts out the scratching issues/get a white one instead.
I hope I can just take the phone and leave. I too want to experience the whole unboxing .Do they activate your phone without opening the box or do they have to open it up and what not?

Not true.My store only took 12 orders and everyone after that went on a waitlist.And that was the case at many stores that were cited here.
It is quite hilarious and sad that people that are just patiently waiting for RS to call them are Sprint Customers. Even the one that were the very first one like me and JOSE891. I'm also thinking of going to the Sprint Store. Because this is incredible.
It was actually hard to figure since so much went on during the 45 minute ordeal,which I find now was actually short.But from what I remember,she just took numbers from the box and entered them.We then opened the box,the unveiling if you like,to turn it on to see if all as well.The battery had more than a half charge and we got much nicer buds than came with the 4S.
Do they activate your phone without opening the box or do they have to open it up and what not?

The thing is I open my Sprint Account at RS, and I had to pay a deposit and they have it. So I'm freakn screwed.
Can't answer that.Only 2 arrived yesterday and they were expecting another delivery later.AT&T store I visited filled orders for 2 hrs and 10 mins for those in line.They also received another shipment while I was there so maybe more shipments ARE arriving.They don't close for 3.5 hrs.
I was also first to preorder the Ip5. I should have known better than to po at the shack!
I was also first to preorder my sprint iphone5.. it is funny because they pump you up like youre going to get it on the 21st, but then they say their going to give me a call.. it was frustrating watching an att customer walk out with an activated iphone 5.. **sigh** and to top it off, i called the next clostest RS to find out that they received and sold a few sprint models.. I honestly want to punch the RS employees for not making it clear!!
I was the first to preorder a sprint iphone 5 at my local shack. I called several hours ago and was told no shipment yet and it may be the 25th before they get them. I asked why the 25th and he said that's just what he was told on a conference call. smh.
For anyone wondering, I was told by the manager that they stop delivering to the stores at 6. So if you didn't get a phone call I would say by 630 your time, out of luck for today.

Just called a local sprint store and the associate said they are sold out. She then told me she could order me one. I asked how long it would take and she said it would only be 2 or 3 days max to receive. Really sounds too good to be true since the website says it can take up to 3 weeks. Tired of people telling me whatever just to get my money.
Also, RS "claims" it will have my phone tomorrow, but we all know now not to trust that at all. But I still have hope , plus I want to use their gift card. I already bought all the cases and cables I need earlier in the week. What to do?
