So I placed a pre-order with RS on September 17th and have had the exact same experience as everyone else on this thread. Basically they have been giving me the constant run-around on when the phone is getting in, never giving me details, etc. etc. etc.
Anyway, I found an iPhone that I wanted at another RS location and when I went there to purchase it I was told I was unable to buy the phone there at the subsidized price because my upgrade had already been taken from my previous order. I called Verizon to see if I could cancel my order, and free up my eligible upgrade, and they can't even see that my order exists in their system from RS. I was told that I needed to cancel my order with RS, in person, at the store I ordered.
So I go into the store today to cancel my pre-order, and I am told that if I cancel my pre-order I will lose my upgrade as my phone upgrade is assigned to the specific device that I ordered. Is this even true? If not, where do I actually cancel my pre-order? Has anyone else been told this?
