No kidding. Major snooze-fest going on in Cupertino lately.
The good news is that the new products won't be the focus of the next keynote.
No kidding. Major snooze-fest going on in Cupertino lately.
Yeah, announcing a scheduled downtime for their online store is such an outrageous way of building up hype. It's Apple who's building the hype in the first place. As like it's getting normal, underwhelming and overpriced. Thanks Timmy, no pennies from me this time.
interesting the new iPad still has a headphone jack...
Because you can't get a million different straps for a fraction of the cost elsewhere...I'm happy that there were new watch straps. I bought a new Apple watch on Friday so this update was a good thing to see. Just because you weren't excited about what was released doesn't mean it wasn't worthwhile.
Actually probably closer to the truth is they didn't want to change the mold, for this minor bump. They are going to do major changes to the line up later in the year. They can't make the case manufacturers change the cases twice in the same year. So they do a little bump, ok, maybe an almost setback, keeps the iPad only crowd happy, for nine months, (Christmas Maybe?). The pros get upgraded, and by the end of the year, we will see if they still have the jack, or if they even need it.
Man, that design is now 5/6 years old. They should add a bike to run around the bezels.Don't you know that Apple is doomed if it doesn't update every product every 12 months with meaningful improvements?
So Apple shouldn't do any further watch band updates simply because cheap bands can be purchased elsewhere? Wow.Because you can't get a million different straps for a fraction of the cost elsewhere...
Apple has several constituents. Consumers, investors, employees, vendors, etc. If they serve consumers to their satisfaction, which they measurably do by both sales volume and satisfaction surveys, and investors which they measurably do by being one of the biggest market cap and most profitable companies in the world, then they can be said to be succeeding by observable measures.Great for the non stockholding consumer! I'm sure profit and growth are the major concerns for Joe Consumer.
They can do what they like, but if you're getting excited by overpriced same sames, then wow. Just wow...So Apple shouldn't do any further watch band updates simply because cheap bands can be purchased elsewhere? Wow.
Because EVERYTHING is waaaaaay OVERDUE!!
When the store goes down, there is always that slight glimmer of hope left that Apple actually gives a damn about something other than dollars. And then they just give another kick in the balls. Hence the squealing...
What's really annoying are the Apple apologists.
Forgive me for getting pissed at an old friend that came into some big money and turned into an ***.
Think Different? Nah, think corporate turd.
Many of us underestimate the brilliance in naming conventions. The most prolific period of innovation at Apple.

I totally agree with the general "Where are the Macs?" feeling. However, Apple releasing new watch bands are not what's stopping it from releasing a new Mac Pro, for example.
In my mind, this kind of release shows Apple doesn't think these small updates are event worthy - exactly what we've all been saying on this forum for years.
Also, let's not forget an iMac might have been nearly ready alongside the MacBook Pro, but Apple has been in a similar situation before, and Tim Cook said he had made the wrong decision: http://news.softpedia.com/news/Tim-Cook-Regrets-Shipping-2012-iMac-Early-347920.shtml
The iMac is in need of an update, however, so will hopefully be announced soon (at an early April event?)
Title reminds me of CinemaSins on youtube, except it whould be more appropriately named:Three minutes is way more than enough.
Yup, and it still won't have a phone jack, probably won't have USB C to connect to the MBP, and will cost over $1000. Rather than the overused word "Pro" they should just call it the "iPhone $$$". Apple products are becoming more status symbol than anything else. We'll know for sure in September ...As an aside, I think we do now know with a reasonable degree of certainty that there will be an iPhone Pro.

Just the iMac..?!
This site wouldn't be worth visiting if all you read were gushy goo-goo-gah-gah's from Apple cheerleaders. If it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it likely isn't a golden eagle.Does that include people who think they are entitled to a MacRumors forum filled with only posts they like?
I think PC makers are making large strides in catching up to, and in some cases passing up, Apple Macs. The only lag is in coming up with system software appealing to Mac users who prefer OSX / MacOS.I find it so frustrating that no company seems to be stepping in to woo Apple's "pro" customer base who are apparently calling for these products.
Microsoft is trying, but still not really getting it.
Google's Chrome OS isn't suitable for the majority of users (and they've now discontinued the Pixel laptop).
And erm... those are the realistic options.
