I had a Nokia Lumia 925 that was that thin. It had a great design and build, but the software sucked..

Actually this render reminds me of a Lumia 925, just a bit thinner and a sapphire back instead of plastic. Just shows how unoriginal Martin Hajek is. The worst was his Apple TV renders that was an aluminum device (including gold) with chamfered edges.

Beam me up...

The next iPhone will be a flip phone made from transparent aluminium. It'll be charged by your body heat, have 1TB of storage and it'll work underwater! Now that's a rumour for yah...

And why not. They have spurned the _Universal_ Serial Bus like a baws.

Apple still see themselves as a Music company, I just can't see them making all other headphones incompatible, it would like a middle finger to anyone who likes music. It could happen but I just don't think they would do it.

USB had a load of flaws so it made sense for them to do there own version. The headphone jack(or whatever its proper name is) doesn't really have any obvious big flaws.

I can't see how that wont have a ton of flex in the pocket. The current 5 and 5s have flex already. As thin as those renders are, I'd be afraid to put that in my pocket.

Yep. And (I think) a similar sort of flex what caused the screen on my iPad Air to break. If the iPhone 6 is any thinner than the iPhone 5, I won't be getting one.

Backwards...

With how Apple's service options are becoming more and more modular for the iOS devices, it wouldn't make a lot of sense at this point for the company to change gears and switch back to a device that has 0 repairability in store.

The leaked images are likely a new version of the iPod Touch. To me, it makes sense because FaceTime allows voice calls now. And who wants to be on a voicecall on speaker phone all the time?

I don't think we have truly seen the iPhone body in the wild yet.

Again, all of the leaked info we have seen is most likely pointing to a new iPod touch.

iphone 4/4s has glass on the back, and it was not a failure.

I think the 4/4S were two of the best looking iPhones ever. They just exuded quality. My 4 is going to my #3 grandson, the second of the boys to use it, after the battery gets replaced. He can have my 5S after the 6 comes out, the sooner the better!

I think this design looks very beautiful. It's like a perfect combination of iPhone 5S, iPhone 4S and iPod Nano.

nice but to thin. my 5 already has a slight bend sarting at the lower volume button.

As one who likes his Mophie Juice Pack on his 4s, I say "don't make it thinner, double the battery capacity!" (And add wireless recharging.)

Chasing thinness for its own sake is a loser.

And although scratch proof is nice, I'd rather be able to carry in my jeans pocket and sit on it without destroying it. I'm no Hollywood starlet and thus don't give a damn about how cute I look when I use it.

If form follows function, and if a "thinner, thinner!" mantra is become the top criteria, I have to wonder what functional aspect is driving (or being willfully ignored) that that mantra can dominate the design process.

Smart man - but Apple wont listen to you - this insane quest for lightest phone is driving me crazy - and no that doesn't meant I want an Android phone.

Is it too difficult to ask for two f'ng sizes 4.7 and 5.5 and 48-72 hour batter life?

From Apple, yes.

Tag line for iPhone 6

"It just works......all day long"

"By making a device with a bigger screen, but not thinner we incresed the battery and now the iPhone give you amazing battery life"

I like that design concept actually. It looks comfortable to hold, not a big fan of the glass-back though, didn't like it on the iPhone 4 either, makes me nervous.
