Way too thin, leave is the thickness or the iPhone 5/5S and just put in a massive battery! Then the iPhone would be on top of battery life with the efficiency of iOS and a huge battery

9to5Mac just posted this leaked photo which is allegedly an iPhone. If this is accurate it looks like what many of us have supsected - the new iPhone will take cues from the current iPod touch and iPad.

I would love it to be this thin (and maintain battery life), but I'd be so surprised if they managed the former, let alone the latter.

Apple normally makes sure the battery life is equal or better.

The question is when is GPS technology going to use less power?

No glass back please!

I have seen way too many iPhone 4's and 4s's with shattered backs. Sure, it looked nice when you buy it but then ALL the corners of the device are highly fragile. The 5 and 5s were super durable by comparison and yet still very sleek looking. I hope they change up the design, but glass on the back is just too fragile for every day use. I have a 4s and would never carry it around without a case.

The validity of the source drawings are unknown, so these renderings may or may not be representative of the next generation phone Apple is creating

Seems as legit as getting free candy from an unmarked van

Oh boy - if this is for real - the haters will have field day - it is basically a thinner iPhone 5/5s

What else is it supposed to look like? I always assumed it would be similar to an iPod touch or iPad. These same "haters" complained about the colored plastic of the 5C. I guess I'm confused as to what people want. I mean the tech press seems to be having a collective boner over the HTC One because the chassis is all aluminum. But if we get a unibody alumium iPhone it's all of a sudden boring?

guys,
do you think we can expect the frame to be liquid metal so the thinness won't affect overall sturdiness? Or is it still too early for that to be mass production?

If they call it the air I won't be buying it.
Good reasoning there.

I'm all in for a unibody metal iPhone. If the image that 9to5 posted is legit, it's the best looking iPhone yet.

Not sure what people expect with redesigns. Basically a phone is either going to be plastic, glass or metal. And Apple has already done all three, so of course whatever they do in the future will be a varation on what they've already done.

Looks great! I do not think Apple will make a 5.7" phone.

IMO too close to the 7" iPad Mini and way to big! Apple made a big thing about single handed use, a 5.7 inch phone would be ridiculous.

I think we've gone thru this already - the sizes are not even close - few people will use a 7-8" inch table close to their ears 5x phone <> 7"mini
