I believe its the shipments that came in that day like at 2pm but they saved them for the next day.
Oh wow that's great! Good news for me because I can't check the availability constantly. Just hope that this is true with my local store.

I hope so too, but don't hold your breath... I just checked numerous east cost zips and none of the ones I checked have any size slate gray (let alone the other colors people really want) AT&T inventory. So we are well after the 9:00P close time in that time zone.

Fingers crossed.

I know how you feel. But it's only 8pm here on Weat Coast and the Apple stores here close at 10, so I'll check back to see if this hold up. Fingers crossed too.

There has to be a guy somewhere laughing his a$$ off right now seeing how many hits there is on the site, and all of the searches been done...

Ok, well it is now 10:00 Central time... one hour after close. No update to inventory. It is also now after 11:00 Eastern time... two hours after close. No update to inventory.

Me thinks I have a few more weeks to wait.

 some of us can actually take care of their iPhone's without putting a case on it.. 3G, 4, and 5, no cases, never broken...

We'll congratulations. I see a lot of people on a daily basis and not many have a case, I guess OCD about chipping/scratching.

What truly sucks about this is that Apple is not allowing us to pay full price for Verizon iPhone 5S.

There's an easy way around that.

You buy a brand new phone with a new line using Apple's website. Then, when you go pick it up, you pay, and return it. Literally. Then, tell them you want it at full price. And they'll give it to you.

Confirmed and working.

What if I do not have an Att or Verizon account?
I got SG one, but planning to exchange to the gold one :p

Is there a general consensus on whether it's more likely to wait, order in-store, or order to be sent directly? None of my stores currently have them, and I'm curious if there's a best course of action if you mean to order a 5S at this point.

Never purchased an iphone online yet so don't know the process... Can someone help me, if say an iphone 5s becomes available and I want to reserve for an online pickup (16gb space grey tmobile) does my account already have to be tied to a credit card?

If someone already bought one can they tell me how it went?

Damn!!! my case finally came from amazon and I payed extra for 1 day shipping cause I thought I would have an 5s by now. Will check if anything changes when I wake up tomorrow at 5:30 am pacific time... Or might study for test till 12 today and check at 11pm than 12am...

My theory:
Apple is setting aside devices in store for walk ins, and a very small quantity for online pickup. Whatever they don't sell in store that day, they add to their online quantity.

I have been checking throughout the day and I did not find ANY update for any size/carrier/color in the bay area.

What does this all mean for us waiting?

The stock for 32GB silver is abundant in San Diego.

As per people in this thread, apple has turned them away from store stating they are only doing online pick up now. So who knows what's happening.

I read somewhere on this forum that apple store employees are now told not to sell iphone 5s's to walk in customers but to reserve them for online pick ups like they did with the 5's last year.

It seems like nobody knows what is really going on with the online pickup. I talked to an apple rep which also told me the cut off for walk ins is at 11am. Talked to 3 online reps, 2 of those telling me that you can still wait in like at 10am, and the third telling me they no longer offer in store purchases for the 5s. So this is really just luck of the draw I guess

If this "online reserve pickup" doesn't work out as well as I thought I guess I have to go back to calling every tmobile store in 30 mile radius everyday to ask if they have 16gb space grey in stock :(

I checked mid-afternoon and a silver 16g was available in Augusta,Ga.

Are you referring to Sprint phones? No verizon phones anywhere in so cal.

I was at south coast plaza today around 230p. They had 2 32G verizon phones even though the webs shows zero.

Just did a search now and one store showed available. Silver shouldn't be hard to find.
