I was thinking about doing the same thing. Then cancel my order and wait for it to change back to upgrade status then go in and pick it up
I think they may not do it as you are not picking the same option that you ordered online. Just my opinion.
Wow. Easier to hit the lotto than snipe an iPhone online.

I don't know if stores are getting fewer phones or if more people are checking, but I'm seeing "unavailable" for everything in the LA area for the past couple of days. Almost had a silver Sprint 64GB last night, but it became unavailable while I was putting in my payment info. It seems to be a western problem, too--looked like there were multiple options for me in NY and Philly. I'm so frustrated at myself for being slow to decide on this phone!
I haven't seen anything new in stores since Wednesday. I'm starting to think that they don't really add much stock near the weekend. The T-Mobile iphone is still nonexistent here (NYC). Quite frustrating
We're not getting much stock in TX either, i saw some black 16gb att iPhones on Tuesday evening, but nothing since then. Ive been checking at least once an hour this whole week.
I'm thinking it's a trickle-down effect of the Chinese holiday. The lack of new supply is finally catching up.
This has been disappointing and discouraging. I understand it is a supply/demand issue, but I think I'm finally done watching the site all day.
I'm just going to wait until early November and then try for a 32MB Gray.

i looked for two days and had one pop up at the local Apple store. 5 minutes to order online, 15 minutes later your phone is ready email, 10 minutes in the store, and my wife is very happy replacing her 4s with the Sliver 32gb ATT 5s. thats all i know.
Agree! Going to check again at 3 PM.
I thought Apple has some special shipment arrangements for this holiday time.

I see too many Greys in So Cal area all the time. In fact right now I see many places offering grey Phones 5S. (Not many 32GB on ATT though).
I love how so many people still can't get an iPhone 5S.

I'm happy I was able to preorder my 64 att gold earlier this week. Not looking forward to the drive to pick it up, but happy I didn't hold off.
I'm hoping I can return my grey 5s and perform an exchange even though I had to sign up for a new line. I guess we'll have to see how many managers I will need to go through to get this done

All I did was using inventory check .
EDIT: I still see it as being available at fashion valley for Verizon.

That chrome extension is horrible. It alerts even if the ads refresh which is very annoying. So it will keep alerting you every 5-10 seconds lolJust use the extension to alert you as soon as the page changes.

Ahh ok. That sucks. Although there were plenty of Verizon's last night.
