Well its 9:40am and there is not a single AT&T iPhone 5S to be reserved in the San Francisco Bay Area in any capacity or color. I hope they get a shipment in later today...

I've been told by two stores in Northern VA that they don't anticipate any new 5s in the near future, and whatever they do receive will go to in-store pickup orders; nothing for walk ins. I'm assuming that is at least partially so they don't have to deal with lines anymore when they do get some.

I know of at least 2 stores in the DMV that have not received any 5s's in the last 4 days. It's almost strange.
Considering the Chinese holiday ended on 7th I assume the shipments will start arriving on Tuesday. Don't expect any new inventory coming today or tomorrow.

Got FINALLY my Gold iPhone... and I have to say that now I feel kinda dumb for putting this much effort into getting a color. The gold is okay but in the end it's (debatably) not as nice as the Silver or Black. It's just different.

Don't bother with the inventory checker. I just walked into the Apple store in Naperville, IL and out with a verizon 16gb GOLD. They just got inventory today.
My guess, the inventory checker gets updated after 1pm CST after all the walkins buy the stock on hand. It just reflects the lefts overs.

unfortunately on AT&T.. but Verizon golds showing up allover the southeast right now in all sizes
Does anyone know if it is possible to walk in and order device only for AT&T and Verizon models? I don't have an account with neither of those two carriers.
Based on previous trends, check around 2pm. They will def show up in the area since the east coast got some, so be ready around then
No. You have to set up an account and subsequently cancel it to get the device by itself. I don't know why people say that you can do this; it counts as a pull on your credit report and generally just isn't something most of us want to do for a phone...
In other news, the Tmobile 5s is still rarer than a dodo bird here in NYC. A few just came up and I'm still somehow too slow to nab one.

I've been looking for a T-Mobile 5S in NYC as well, and I have found one at a carrier store (I had checked 3 in my area), however they want me to setup a prepaid account with them in order to buy it, when I'm already on a contract with them. They were going to charge $780 (including tax, for a 16GB black). I decided it wasn't worth it, even though I need a phone now...
