Ordering

Does anyone know If I can do the online pickup for AT&T phone 16gb Gold and when I go to pick up just buy it full price? My Contract isn't up yet and I don't want to put the 449 for another contract.

Apple didn't want my money. Reserved two gold ones today and went to Beverly Center, but they wouldn't budge on letting me buy full price.

Said it was impossible to cancel and rebuy because it's "online" inventory
Just FYI for you all who are trying this.
YMMV

So much for the 10PM updated inventory, I don't think they are doing that this year because nothing changed for 500 miles around me in south-east states. They seem to update their inventory as they receive the shipment for them so i'll keep checking during the day/afternoon. I did see some pop up earlier but was to slow I guess checking out.

I shouldn't have cancelled my order. It looks like they won't get gold in for a while and those that are camping out will get it first (Apple store employee's words. Not mine)

Update!
I saw that it was available for pickup at my local Apple store and went ahead and ordered it. They sent me an email telling me it was ready for pickup about 30 minutes after I placed the order. Space gray 32GB. So happy with it!

bunch of space grey available for pickup, but no gold...

what time they update the inventory for next day pickup, is there a set time?

Does not seem like a set time, just whenever they receive the phones and process them. I seen the gold one pop up at random times and then go away.

I kept the pop-up window from the website up and kept hitting search. You don't have to keep re-entering the zip code....worked great!

No gold for Sprint yet *sigh*
I'm having a tough time deciding if I truly want a gold 5s over my red HTC One though. #FirstWorldProblems

As usual, Canada is left out of the party.

I don't know if I can wait for my online order to arrive on Oct 10...I may go down to the Apple store and just see if they have any stock.

I see lots of comments about Space Grey and Gold, but what's Silver looking like elsewhere?

Looks like the apple web is easier to check availability than the Apple App Store. Web lets you check store availability before you have to enter carrier info. App Store makes you enter the carrier info before you get store availability. Guess I will use Apple.com when I find a phone, time is critical and would prefer the express checkout of Apple App.

I'm assuming that you are under a contract? If you are, then you should have a number + billing address + last four digit of social. You don't actually have to have an "account(like a log-in name to their website)" with your carrier.

I have contract with Verizon (and still under contract), I pretty much just let the system check my account and tell me that I can buy the phone for $650. I just said yes, and went ahead and check out.

This SUCKS because I am available for an upgrade (Verizon Unlimited) and when I try and reserve one it makes me use my upgrade and I want to pay full price so I asked a chat assistant and she told me this

"he 5C has both the UNLOCKED/CONTRACT FREE TMobile and SIM Free version available. The 5S will have only the UNLOCKED/CONTRACT FREE TMobile version that we know of at this time. We don't have any additional info on an 5S Sim Free version."

Which makes no sence because you were able to reserve and pay full price.

Any way I can call verizon to by pass this and not select a new data plan when reserving on Apple.com

HELP :)

I live in Northern CA and nothing really changed at 10 PM PST. I thought they updated their inventory at that time?

Seriously, I haven't heard of a single person that has a gold Sprint iPhone. Been checking stock all day after going to the Apple store daily over the weekend and lining up at 2 am launch day.
