I just got a clear snap today and it does not fit my iphone 4! It fits at one side but not the other and does not snap into place, the case is too small! A bit weird after all the positive things said about it here.

mine fits perfectly - do you have a wrap/shield or something on it? if so, that's the problem. this is a very form fitting, snug case that will not fit with any other rear and/or side films or protection.

My iphone is naked. It just won't snap into place at one side. It looks like the back of the incase snap I have is too small. I have contacted incase about this but I have not heard anything from them yet.

Here are some my thoughts about the Incase snap case, even thought I already posted them at one of the other thread:

Hi everybody, I have been lurking this site for a while and have gotten a lot of helpful information here. Anyways I hate to say this but the Incase clear snap case is the worst iphone cases that I ever have even though I got it for free from Apple. The first thing that I noticed that this case out of the package got a lot of small scratches on the back if you look it thru the light. This case is a finger print and smudges magnet, and I don't know how many times my IP4 almost slip out of my hand due to it be a slippery case (may be my hand is a little more sweatier than normal especially during summer). I went back and use the Ifrogz Lean and put the Incase on Ebay for two times now and nobody even buy it now for $15 plus $5 shipping. I will probably will lower the price to $15 shipped. IMO this case is not even worth $10.

Just got my snapcase clear and I get a water mark on the back above the apple logo and the case will flex on the side because it keeps becoming slightly loose. Otherwise the case looks awesome, but I clearly have a dud. I contacted incase and will update when I get a reply.

I got my free one yesterday. I opted for the clear version, as I already have a matte black case-mate "barely there" case. I put it on immediately and removed it almost as quickly. It is nearly identical to the case-mate in overall design, but significantly inferior. The basic problem is the loose fit. Whereas the case-mate is perfectly snug, the incase feels loose. Specifically, there is a fair amount of front-to-back play. There seems to be too much space between the inside back of the case and the ridges that lock onto the sides of the iPhone. This would only be mildly annoying if the sides of the case extended farther out from the face of the iPhone. Unfortunately, the extension of the sides is just slightly less than the amount of front-to-back play, which means the placing the phone face-down on a flat surface will result in the face touching that surface.

The case-mate has essentially the same dimensions, but is perfectly snug. So placing the phone face-down will result in the phone resting on the case edges, with a slight amount of space between the phone's face and the surface.

Also, the clear plastic was fairly easy to smudge. The matte black finish of the case-mate is essentially impossible to smudge. I know that's a bit of an apples-to-oranges comparison, but it gave me even less of a reason to keep the incase on my phone. At this point I have zero regrets about buying the case-mate (which I did right before the "free case" offer was released).

My wife has the casemate and I agree it's a much better. Although the casemate case isn't perfect either. My gripes with it are that it interferes with the flash, the cutout for the apple logo is not centered and the antenna is still affected slightly when in the death grip. Incase seems to be aware of problems with the clear case and it looks like the are going to send me the smoke version.

You either have a defective/damaged case or you applied it incorrectly. Mine is a perfectly snug fit to the phone and the outer edge of the case on the screen side does indeed extend above the phone. Placing it face down on a flat surface, the screen does not make contact. There is no play or movement of the phone in the case whatsoever.

It's a clear plastic case. It's going to scratch and smudge. If you wanted a matte finish you could have gotten the inCase Smoke.

After 3 weeks mine still has very little scratching. I'm glad what scratches there are are on the case and not the phone itself.

If you're using luckylabs...

Just a head's up.

I've applied the metallic silver side decals and the teksure carbon fiber from lucky labs on my phone. I also have PS antiglare.

The incase clear still fits nicely around all this, and there's a "click" sound when you apply it. However, there is little "lip" for when you place the phone face-down onto a flat surface.

My only gripe is that the incase clear attracts fingerprints like no other (which ruins the point of the non-fingerprint finishes on my decals). But this is something you know going in, and it shows off the carbon fiber decal nicely.

Update:
Repeatedly removing and applying the snap case will wear out the corners of your side decals. However, the teksure backing appears to be fine.

Regarding the scratches on the clear case, could we a clear plastic film protector over the clear case so that it doesn't scratch?

I got my free clear case today, finally. I took off my Otterbox Defender, wiped the phone down, and put on the Snap Clear. It fit really nice and looked nice too. But after using the Defender for a few weeks, the Snap feels so small and fragile in my hand.
So I took it off and put the Defender back on, within 10 minutes. I'll still use the snap but probably when I go out on the weekends and when I don't want to carry the bulk for a time.

Just got my clear Snap from the case program. :)

I got this for free too. Felt like it was going to slip out of my hand. I put replaced my apple black bumper and feels better. Also, I noticed when taking pictures in a night club with the flash, I tested it, there was a whitish glare possibly from the case. When I removed the case, the pictures came out great.

Got my incase clear snap case today, I think I like it so far. I put it on with back and side ghost armor and it fit fine but left watermarks on the back and pulled the the GA up bit on the corners.

Then I removed all the GA and it fits great except for a watermark still there around the apple logo. Also there were long fine stratches on the case when taken out of the packaging.

If you pull your Incase Snap off of your phone and bend that area a little (bend the case into itself), it removes some of the watermarking.

compatible holdster?

I first tried the seideo innocase with the holdster and although the 3G version was great, the 4 version really was too chunky.

I then got the incase snap in the free program and really like it a lot, but I would love to have a holdster for it. I just am not comfortable with the phone in my pocket. i know incase doesn't make a holdster, but are their other options?

I did find out the seideo holdster for fits the phone with the bumper really well and I am making due with this for now.

I really HATE this case. It's nice and slim, but good LORD does it get greasy. I constantly wash my hands, but this bugger is always greasing up. I just can't wipe it enough.

I'm not using it anymore. Can't stand it at all.

I got this clear snap incase as well. I dropped my phone with this case on from my pocket (on a concrete driveway) and the case cracked a little bit and there was a scratch around the bottom left speaker (around the metal part). I have the incase slider as well which I like very much but I don't use that one anymore after I got the Power Support screen protector on, fearing the slider would cause bubble. Anyway, I usually carry my phone with just the screen protector on the front and the back. I'll put the case on when I go fly my AR Drone.

I think you guys will like the smoke version better - it has the matte rubber kinda finish/feel to it (similar to the black incase slider and black incipio feather case finishes) - no glossiness, no fingerprints and is nice and grippy to hold. It's not going to scratch like glossy hard plastic finishes either.

Update: After using this case extensively I've noticed it collects dust and dirt underneath quite easily and quickly over time. I took it off and rinsed it with soapy water then dried it then reapplied to the iPhone, and within a day more stuff became trapped already.

I totally agreed with him because I am currently using the smoke incase snap and it works much better than the POS clear one. I finally sold the clear one for $15 shipped on fleabay.

My personal preference is no case at all, since I like the way the iPhone looks naked. However, since Apple was so kind as to offer me a free case I went with the one that is as minimal as possible, the clear inCase. The back of the case does acquire scratches over time but I don't find it slippery to grip at all. It's a LOT more grippable than the glass phone itself. I'm not having any problems with greasiness either. I suppose that's down to how greasy your hands are.

After a month of use now I do get some particulate matter under the case after heavy use but it's simple to pop off, clean and replace. Nothing has scratched the back of the phone yet.

There is no other case I've seen yet that is closer to appearing as if there is no case at all. I've got no complaints, great case.

But hey, like everything else in life to each their own. Whatever case you like best IS best. :p

I switched out the Otterbox Defender and been using the Clear over the weekend and I'm really getting used to this case. It doesn't feel slippery for some reason, and I don't really notice a lot of smudges on the back either. I put a photo in the back between the case and the phone and it doesn't affect the fit at all and it fits nice and snug. Having the photo also hides any scratches as well, so this might be an option to those that can't stand to see the smudges and scratches on the case. :)
