hmmmmm....thinking of calling apple to switch from the pixelskin hd to the smoke case.

looks pretty similar to the Incipio Feather though. anyone know how it compares?

I can confirm that the smoke case does indeed come with the stand. I just received my free case from Apple in the mail today.

im torn between this and the belkin case

on one hand belkin has the nasty belkin mark on the back but the plastic wraps far enough up so at least its at the screen

the snap doesn't have the watermark but it doens't appear to go near the dispaly glass at all

this is all based on pics....arggg

i dont have the snap case yet, i just ordered it, but i believe a few previous posters confirmed that the edge of the snap case does go over the glass by a couple of MM so that when it is laid on the table it does not touch the glass.

Received this case today in both Clear and Smoke. Absolutely HATE the clear - cheap and flimsy feeling, absolute fingerprint magnet.

The Smoke however, I love and is replacing my black bumper/carbon backing for the time being. The case is soft touch and more of a frosted glass look. Very happy with this one.

To answer previous questions, comes with clear stand and is raised about 1mm above screen even with front/back SGP Ultra Oleophobic installed.

got the clear today - almost a duplicate of the ivyskin but with a minute bit more ridge on the front edges. it will stand off a bit but a crumb or two sized item will still touch the glass - not enuf for me like a bumper.

I wasn't expecting much from this case but ordered it because it was IMO the best free case they were offering. I could not have imagined how nice this case would be. I received the smoke one and absolutely love the feel and fit. It was machined very well without any sharp edges or flashing and no detectable injection molding points. I had been rocking a smoke Switcheasy Nude case and a modified(sanded) iFrogz Luxe Lean with SGP Carbon fiber back skin and this case just took their place as my everyday use case. It has the thin/sleek look of the Nude with the lay-on-table design of the Luxe Lean. The frosted smoke is the tits.

Damn....I should have ordered the smoke. I wanted the clear one because I think the new Iphone 4 design is so nice I did not want to cover up the silver side trimming....Guess I may have to shell out some $ for the smoke one now.

The smoke one is still clear enough to show the metal band.

I dont know if its a coincidence or not, but suddenly I am not having any issues with the proximity sensor on my phone.

Anyone else notice this??????

iLounge has updated their Snap preview with Snap Smoke photos. Looks pretty awesome. I'm loving that semi transparent look.

Comes with a clear stand, apparently.

Thanks for posting that link. Yeah, I'm happy that I ordered the smoke case now. I chose that one simply for the fact that it had a matte finish and would be better for gripping. Look how much dust is on their picture of the clear cases.

I guess i'm in the minority here, but for me, it cheapens the look of the iPhone. I received my Smoke Snap case a few days ago.

The "soft" surface, to me, hides the hard, chiseled edges of the iPhone design. Also, I think the color puts me off as well, as it's a very mild black color that just doesn't do it for me. I just really like the contrast of metal and pitch black of the iPhone without it.

Oh well, to each their own.

Just got my clear case today.....I'm happy with it, although probably will continue my current pattern of keeping the iPhone naked at home and when I'm going out in certain situations using the more protective pouch kind of case that I've got for it, but now it will be nice to have the clear snap-on "shell" for the back, offering some protection.

Just received my smoke snap a few minutes ago. It really looks nice, but it does seem a bit cheap compared to my Slider that I bought like 3 weeks ago. One positive is that it snaps right in place with my power support back and anti glare on without any bubbling.

It's all about personal preference. I am glad I went with the clear case as well. It's certainly not flimsy nor is it a fingerprint magnet. It has gotten some scratches in a week of use but that's to be expected.

I wanted as minimal a case as possible since I really like the way the iPhone looks naked. This case fits the bill for me. Anyway, no one needs to feel bad about their order based on what someone says in here regarding their own personal preferences.

Exactly. ;)
