Seriously, even the article about the 20$ iPod touch software didn't cause as much fury as this! This is really incredible. I predict by the end of next week Robbers will change their plan.
What? That is depressing, but now if I hear someone complaining about AT&T's rates, I can put them over here. There is no reason why the prices of those "plans" should be so high. Canadians, you guys need to get a new provider. I currently pay $104.change for like 600 mins, unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited text, unlimited data etc etc. Wow, Rogers. Wow.
ORLY?
And the sky will rain gumdrops and the trees will grow donuts.

That's awesome! Very cool. I want to help. This pricing is ridiculous - the first thing I thought when I read it was that Rogers is backstabbing Apple and trying to screw them over. It makes no sense. Then I went to Rogers' website and saw that their evenings (for the iPhone) start at 9 pm??? Yikes!
It will cost me an extra $66/month + taxes for the iPhone (compared to my current Rogers plan)... And for my fiancee to switch over to the iPhone it will cost about an extra $30 or so (compared to her current Fido plan) just to maintain the same amount of minutes and features (not including data).
We were planning on buying two iPhones on July 11, but now, as bad as we both want one, I'm thinking we should all boycott the iPhone until Apple forces Rogers to be a little realistic. This is bad news for the Canadian consumer and even worse news for Apple.
I just purchased iPhonePetition.ca - hopefully we can get something up soon. If you can help with this in any way, please contact me by email.
ummm you joking right? I have yet to see Rogers step up to the plate of anything in there life...

Unless the plans hurt Rogers directly, nothing will happen... Not even Jobs- I mean Jesus can stop this.
Why not? didnt you see some of the email people have been receiving back...they said the plans aren't final.
Nobody is going to buy this thing at these prices. Maybe im just too optimistic...
Costco - The largest membership warehouse club chain in the world
Costco - often more expensive compared to Superstore
Safeway - often more expensive compared to Superstore, Save-on Foods, Thrifty Foods
Sears - limited selection, poorer quality yet not cheaper than Hudson's Bay.
Starbucks - Some people prefer Serious Coffee, Blenz, Mirage Coffee or Tim Horton's.
I'll keep my universal healthcare and slightly less corrupt government thanks.
As for this Rogers plan, I'm not too happy about it but it is better than before and Caller ID can be added on by itself outside of a value pack.
As I saw on Digg, a poster wrote the following:At least they have universal healthcare.
So absolutely 0% chance they change the rates because of the negative reaction? lol
We need to somehow try to get everyone to boycott on July 11th - even the people that are still going to buy it no matter what the price is. How big of a message would that send if they had all the security etc... ready for the launch and no one shows up!? We need to get the word out! So, fanboys, please try to wait at least a couple days before you run in there... go on the 13th, or whatever, and get your friends to do the same. The iPhone will still be there, a couple more days wont hurt and Rogers will have gotten the message.
Who's with me?
That's not going to work. This is why we need the shame patrol. See my last post.
You know there's going to be media at the Rogers Store on Jarvis St (the flagship store) here in Toronto. That is the location which should be targeted the morning of July 11th to generate maximum embarrassment.
The protesters should be loud, rowdy, and yell at the sheep in line as if they're a labor union, and the queued buyers are scabs.
It's a beautiful day in your neighborhood...

Can you say "Mon-op-oly"? mm-hmm, sure.
