If a curved edge display is what customers want, they don't need to point out the iPhone doesn't have it. They just need to show they do. After all, no other phone has this feature, so singling out iPhone is very odd.

Even their other flagship phone (the plain old Galaxy S6) doesn't have that feature either... If it's such a game changer & better than everyone else, why even release that version???

Why did the Mac ads have to mention the PC. It was direct competition that's why. Apple is direct competition for Samsung and vice versa. When Apple would take shots at Android at their iPhone events, why didn't they mention Windows Phone 8? See what I'm getting at? Again, Samsung isn't the only company that does this. Samsung has taken shots at Apple, Apple has take shots at Samsung, Microsoft has take shots at both.

Samsung is basically highlighting its phone features, that aren't available in its main competing phone. iPhone doesn't have a wide angle camera, wireless charging, or an Edge display. This is honestly no different than the Mac Vs PC ads. That ad basically consisted of "The Mac is for cool people good looking people and does this and the PC is for nerdy idiots and can't do this" If samsung was trying to appeal to the "we hate Apple/love samsung group" then what was Apple trying to do with their Mac ads? Same scenario here.

Like I've said, for all the hate people are giving Samsung for this commercial...it's hilariously ironic when those same people then turn around and praise Apple...a company that pretty much did the exact same thing. I personally didn't see an issue with either ad but the irony of praising one company while condemning another is hilariously ironic.

With it's Mac vs PC ads Apple was appealing to users frustrated with their PCs. I don't know how to make this any clearer: I'm not against companies bashing their competitors, even if companies are bashing Apple.

Although Samsung might be in direct competition with Apple and feel the need to mention them in their ads, they seem to be clutching at straws while doing so. If the Samsung ads were showing the bad elements of the iPhone experience and explaining that the Samsung phones solved those problems, that would be great. Again, see the Cortana vs Siri ads which I think are brilliant.

Samsung are clutching at straws with: "When your iPhone screen is placed screen-down on a table, you can't see the screen, but with our phone you can". Even if Samsung believe this is a significant problem which they have ingeniously solved, and even if they want to take a shot at only the iPhone as it is their main competitor... it makes you wonder why they released the non-Edge Galaxy S6 at all.

It would be like Microsoft running the Cortana ads while also shipping a version of Windows Phone with no Cortana. Or Apple running certain Mac vs PC ads while also shipping Macs that didn't come with iLife.

By shipping the non-Edge version they concede some people prefer a non-Edge phone. But then they run an ad saying such phones are inferior.

Like Apple bashing Windows?
Nice try, but Apple wasn't "bashing" Windows. Those ads came out right at the time people were having massive issues with Windows and Apple pointed them out offering a solution. Samsung isn't doing that. They are nitpicking silly things like being able to turn the phone upside down and making wide screened selfies. I hardly think those are problems people are having with their iPhones.

Also it doesn't matter man. Calm it. That was so many years ago and that was between Apple and Microsoft. Microsoft has also attacked Apple as well. Apple has never attacked Samsung in ads and laughed at their customers for choosing Samsung.

If Apple doesn't like stones thrown at them, perhaps they should stop casting the first one EVERYTIME toward their competitors, just like their competitors!

Very bizarre mind set some people have that Apple is this rainbow filled Unicorn out to save the world & all other companies are out to kill the unicorn, then the earth will implode...

But Apple hardware is always worse than the other's. Except for the flash encryption.

No one else can run iOS. As bad as it is, it doesn't knuckle scrape like Android. (I own/use both daily.)

Are people reading what I said?

I don't mind people criticising Apple or running ads that insult their products. I've said countless times on this forum how I like the Cortana vs Siri adverts. I also like the Android: Be Together, Not the Same ads, though those don't directly insult Apple, so aren't quite on point.

However, some of Samsung's ads don't quite pull of insulting Apple. I cannot be bothered to type the same thing over and over again but if you go to the video you can see fans of Samsung and S6 Edge owners who are criticising the ad.

I don't see how it's any different to when Apple bashes Google. Just deal with it. Companies like to bash the competition. Apple are guilty of it as well so stop pretending that they are victims in this.

And which stones are you referring to in regards to Apple being the first to throw "every time"?

Can you cite some Apple Ad that bashes Google or Samsung? Are speaking of quips or soundbites at Apple Media Events or in interviews? It's not like Eric Schmidt of Google doesn't throw zingers at Apple at every opportunity.

Maybe you would be appeased if Apple gave away an iPad with every iPhone 6 like Samsung does with the Galaxy Tab and the Samsung S6. Samsung has to resort to give away promotions and attack ads "showcasing" their gimmicks.

Samsung and Apple both know those advertisements do absolutely nothing... That's why Apple doesn't retaliate and why Samsung tries to make them funny to be more appealing.

Nobody is pretending they are victims but your point is way out of line. Just because Apple bashes other companies doesn't give Samsung the rights to attack Apple, especially if Apple hasn't attacked them. Not a stick of logic to your post whatsoever.

Samsung can do whatever they want, it's not hurting anyone. Facebook and Google don't retaliate when they are bashed, because they don't care just like Apple don't care that Samsung are bashing them. I'll admit that Samsung are being silly, but there doesn't need to be 12 pages of people getting upset over it.

Did they mention the fact its a terribly cheap feeling piece of crap with a pointless edge screen thing?

That's debatable. S6 actually looks and feels more premium. Apple needs to step up their game on design (get rid of lines on back, center camera, etc.), use higher quality materials, add more DRAM to fix reloads, etc.

Okay, here's the thing. You definitely have a point, but I can tell you first hand why many people are perhaps upset. It's not that Samsung keeps jumping at Apple, it's how Samsung insulted Apple's customers by making fun of them for standing in long lines to get an iPhone that may not have had all bells and whistles (AKA Gimmicks) that Samsung's phones have.

You have to recognize that the customers are who that ad was directly targeted at, not necessarily Apple. That's insulting. And if Samsung truly thinks that's the right way to grab Apple's customers by laughing at them for the choices they make they are sorely mistaken. And this perhaps is just one of the reasons their premium Galaxy phones are not outselling the iPhone 6 Plus. I happen to like some of Samsung's products. I have their top of the line 64" Plasma. I don't see them slamming Panasonic for being the leader in Plasma (when plasma was still selling) and their TV's are still the #1 purchased flatscreen.

I don't see anything that insulted the users for choosing the iPhone. They just claimed that their smartphone was better.

So far Galaxy has a changeable battery, if the S6 Edge does I would prefer it over iPhone 6. Funny some love iPhone some don't. My wife has a Galaxy phone and tablet and they are very nice. As far as Galaxy comparing itself to others, car makers do it all the time. Just my 2 cents worth. :)
