Maybe depends on your use. Somehow I don't think artists are going to pick up the Note in droves, though there are good examples of art created on the iPad already.
If this Samsung Note has hundreds of levels of pressure sensitivity like my 1998 Wacom tablet, I would be surprised.
If it does have screen pressure, then I would be surprised if it had BOTH that AND the kind of capacitive grid underlying it that Apple has developed to get accuracy for MultiTouch computing.
IF it DOES have both, then I would think a compromise is being made somewhere.
IF it really IS so wonderful that it does everything amazingly well, then it means Apple is waiting to perfect another piece of the puzzle.
And, no, the screen doesn't have to be pressure sensitive: the pen could take care of that, by being a smart pen; or some other means could be developed and refined (such as some of the demos with iPad apps that show use of acceleration).
