Crackberry people switched pretty quickly nothing sticky about the average iphone user once perceived better comes along. Apls users always talk about stickiness, its really they don't care for android and they stay.That will change one day one day soon.

I dumped Crackberry for Android because Blackberry weren't moving with the times. And by the time they did it was too little too late. We're discussing a mature phone user base now, not something that happened a decade ago.
Sure, because Apple never has near-record- or record-breaking sales when a new iPhone launches.
But, reading some of your past postings, I see why you'd say that.
One could argue successfully iPhone is the same, 10yo UI ,still no wireless charging, proprietary inferior connectors, expensive apps/movies, super expensive devices..list goes on
Look if Surface Pocket redefines mobile, iOS=rim and history repeats

The iPhone 6 handles and looks very different from the 5s. In fact many feel the 5s was the classic jewellery iPhone design while the current design is not that unique
You can't set non Apple apps as default so once you tap on a link related to a particular app it will direct you to install the app instead of using the third party app already on the phone. This leaves me incapable of uninstalling the app if I wasn't to use my phone seamlessly
It doesn't matter, Sharp started it. Little variations are basically copying according to definitions here.
They all look like an iphone, even if the dimensions change slightly.

Uh because they are the only relevant supplier of OLED in business . Even the Pixel uses Samsung OLED. I would almost put money on iPhone 8 having an OLED display and reduced bezels. Samsung also knows what the iPhone 8 is bringing because they are supplying the panels for it. The only question is whether the yield will be high enough for a curved edge display or will it be an standard OLED

Holy rotten to the core Batman. Okay I kid. $50B in a quarter is certainly bankruptcy territory for apple. /s So $75B + 50B = $125B in two quarters. Okay then.
So even Sharp copied. Phones have been reducing bezel size even before the Aquos released. Sharp simply executed a variation of it. So in the end Samsung and Apple copied themselves here
They only look similar from the front. Then back and the sides are a night and day difference. Both designs are also unique in their handling
It's called bloat because you cannot truly uninstall Apple's apps and use the phone. On Android when I uninstall I am never reminded of Google's apps ever again. Now that's called an uninstall
Didn't multiple leaks already confirm Samsung as the prime supplier ? It doesn't matter anyway because if you want to use OLED there is no large scale manufacturing alternative other than Samsung
if the i8 looks basically the same and is near $1000 like the rumors say I might just make this my new phone. I know the OS has always been the downside of these Samsung phones but with enough tinkering I think it would work. I'm all Apple everything so having a different OS though would mess with the seamless stuff I have now with the backups, icloud and apple music.
There is always someone that does something first is the point. Others make variations on a theme. Look at the auto industry for an example.

The definition of "bloat" has morphed a bit from the original defintion and has become any app I/you/we don't want. Apple let's you uninstall a bunch of apps and you'll save a couple of bytes here an there.

I wasn't suggesting the iPhone is great. It has quite a lot of flaws. People aren't willing to admit flaws on a phone for some reason.
Anyway, an iPhone and a Samsung walk into a bar. The barkeep smirks at them and asks what they'll be having. Both say a shot of Irish whisky. Barkeep says there's only enough for a single ounce shot. Both phones get into it. The iPhone suggests they duel. Both get up from their stools and walk 10 paces from each other. The Samsung phone starts laughing. Menacingly. The iPhone asks what's wrong with him. The Samsung says "I'm no ordinary Samsung. I'm a Note 7!" Before the barkeep and the iPhone can run away, the Samsung opens his coat and the battery within explodes, killing everyone in the bar.
I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. I agreed with your initial post. Apple's a stale "technology" company. They care more about quarterly profits than delivering a vastly superior product like they did years ago. Nowhere did I suggest Apple were the next RIM, or that they're better than their competitors. Because frankly, they're not and never will be at the rate they're going. The best thing Apple knows to do is to piss off long time customers and charge more money because they all know one a schmuck always a schmuck who's willing to spend $900+ on their inferior product.
