Being a fanboy is fine. My point is the Apple Fanboy has always been looked at as a whole different breed of fanboy. Just read this thread. Please show me where any other fanboy has spewed such desperate claims. Show me where a fanboy base has claimed another manufacturer is copying their OEM of choice strictly based off RUMOURED products. Lol. I'll be waiting patiently for your examples.
As I said, we need a registration system that uses real Facebook accounts or something that shows who we really are. I'm betting you won't see threads like this anymore for two reasons. 1) You wouldn't want people knowing you're the one making the idiotic claims. 2) These posters are most likely teenagers without a clue, at which case the adults won't bother responding.

Exactly

They completely ignores everything else Samsung does. As soon as they compete with Apple, it's copying.

That new Samsung interface looks fairly similar to the HTC one. I'm guessing they are thinking users want their information in a flipboard type home screen.

Yep, a Flipboard type homescreen is a popular paradigm these days.

I do think that all tablets should offer a way to take advantage of their extra display space.

I remember that a lot of us had hoped that Apple would allow several apps... especially if they were iPhone apps... to run side by side on the iPad. Instead, it just ran one iPhone app at a time, with a huge black border.

It also seems a bit silly to have a homescreen with just a static grid of icons. All the extra space begs for an active dashboard with various sections of interest, like weather, news, mail, etc. (There was an iPad app like that, but I think Apple yanked it.)

For example, the Android Chameleon homescreen launcher from Kickstarter last year:

As for Apple, even with the extra room in portrait, they still preset the iPad with only four dock icons. Supposedly this is because of their look and feel lawsuits, claiming that a dock with four icons is associated with Apple. If so, they need to stop letting lawyers limit their designs. (And stop letting marketing types do the icons.)

Where are the "pro" features for the "pro" name?

What "pro" features were you looking for? Is the iPad Pro going to be any different? I think the term "pro" is simply a marketing tactic rather than a statement of its performance.

Agreed. How can you copy something that doesn't exist? It's not possible. For all we know Apple might not make a larger iPad Pro. Let's not demonise companies for showing some initiative and moving the tech forward.

In my opinion, if apple decides that a category of tablets is big enough (or can potentially grow to be big enough given the right product (Like the IPAD for its category in the past) ) they would look to make the 12.99 inch device distinct from the Ipad family not only in form but also in functionality..IOS 8 could then well look to merge some productivity features of OSX and IOS (this is me thinking out loud)...The IPAD was essentially a market making product in that it established the tab market in size and scope..Others pushed their devices out the door to cover what they preceived as apple's shortcomming and thats fine from a business stand point, because apple caters to its largest customer base (or potential customer base) with a limited number of devices (Just two in the case of the iPAD) whereas others do not mind to have an entire lineup.

Its my thinking that apple would look to enter the different tablet market (Such as that for education, productivity and enterprise usage) with a distinct product, that just simply doesnt add a larger screen with a bunch of flipboard style multi tasking features but uses some more imagination and technology to bring a different user expereince..I personally do not know what shape this will take, but then apple does surprise most with its new product launches...Perhaps apple will look to incorporate Prime Sense technologies? or something like that..Who knows what they are working on, and we won't really know until its really close!

All since reading it on MacRumors 5 days ago! Samsung is fast!

Please don’t assume that everyone are as deaf as you. Maybe you have only heard of it 5 days ago, but I sure had heard of it at least 4 months ago. As to Samsung, they must have heard of it much longer than that.

No need to be insulting. A Google search will show that Samsung had these in the works about 6 months ago. If you think they copied something that Apple hasn't announced, so be it.

He's got you there, Scruff. Samsung probably used one of their sleeper cell agents to kill a lower level Apple employee no one knew too well and assumed his position within the company. After about a year, he got to be well liked and trusted, so Tim Cook started letting him sit in at board meetings while they were discussing their super secret plans for their next innovations, completely unaware that there was a murdering corporate spy in their midst, equipped with a nanotech camera implanted in his eye, and a two way mic set in his ear.

This is why Samsung now has a 12 inch tablet. They knew Apple was making one long before the tech press did. You can't argue this.

How silly of me. What was I thinking? Of course this is how it went down. And since you have inside knowledge of Samsung's inner workings..............:D:D

I don't go trolling in forums for devices that I don't enjoy using, so I have no idea what is being said in the Samsung, Android, Microsoft, etc., fanboy boards. But, by all means, enjoy your time here! ;)

As far as Samsung goes... People are very suspicious of them because they have copied Apple products. That is not just me and the so-called Apple fanboys saying that. Apple won an historic lawsuit with one of the biggest monetary awards ever. Other Samsung products (like the Chromebook Series 3) "borrow" heavily from Apple's designs, and then a Samsung watch is released after the press writes tomes about a rumored Apple iWatch. Now, a larger Samsung tablet is released after several months of speculation (the original mention was in May 2013) that Apple is possibly producing a larger iPad. Sure, some Apple fanboys are irritating, but I don't blame them for being a wee bit suspicious of Samsung's motives and business practices. If it bothers you so much, you can simply read other forums. Right?

And, really, require Facebook? That is absurd.

You make big bucks, over 100K Hot Pockets per year to post here. :D

...jesus.

Scruff. It's kinda hard being a super secret deep cover Samsung astroturfer when you have your coworkers popping in to talk about how much you're being paid to do your job right in front of everyone. It kinda...you know...ruins it.

We've already had this discussion once. Remember? Why are we going through this AGAIN?

You're right. We shouldn't even be joking about this since some people think that you and samcraig do work for Samsung. Me? I'm a dual agent.

Comeon. Anyone with even the tiniest bit of a sense of humor and common sense should see right through all the jokes. I doubt a single person here actually believes I work for Samsung.

...but Samcraig does. Think about it. Samcraig. Samsung. Uh huh. He's that spy I was talking about earlier. Also he started Antennagate.

It is kind of funny and obvious how this board seems to attract people that keep on emphasizing how irrelevant and mediocre Apple really is, and not just with one or two occasional posts but on a very regular basis... maybe the boards related to the manufacturers of their favourite devices are just boring  .
