Absolutely LOVE my Note 4 and can't wait to see what the N5 brings! I'm not a fan of TW, but Nova takes care of that.

I have both iPhone 6 Plus and Note 4. N4 is almost flawless, not sure what are they going to do with that except increasing RAM, Processor speed! Great one IMO. N5 has to be really, really out of the world to beat N4!

Fair enough. Weird to think in 2012 people said Samsung was trumping Apple. Then this year Apple's smartwatch distracted from the Galaxy launch. Like a smartwatch from any other company could steal press attention from an iPhone launch :')

For me it is the S Pen. Apple doesn't offer anything even remotely close. To me the Note series simply has no competition.

I agree with this: People say the iPhone 6 Plus copied the Note. But I really see the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus as competing with the Galaxy and other flagship phones (like HTC's M9). The Galaxy Note looks like a different beast and has competition from phones like the Xperia C4.

What a fat phone ....

Maybe its just the image..... ya that must be it...

By Samsung getting out of the way of September's Apple event, it doesn't really matter which month you move Samsung's one too...

I would have once said use a pen (stylus or whatever u wanna call it) but i also remeber the i-mate products too with the same type of thing...

There is a reason why u don't see these in mass anymore.

Because phablets are stupid?

This is an incredibly arrogant, dismissive, and frankly ignorant comment that does nothing to further the conversation. All it does is create animosity and degenerate what could be an insightful and enlightening conversation.

If you had written: "In my opinion, phablets are stupid" then given examples to support your opinion, it would have been much more palatable.

Samsung is planning to move up the launch of the Galaxy Note 5 by one month to avoid competing with Apple's annual iPhone event in September, according to The Wall Street Journal. The South Korean handset maker will reportedly unveil the next Galaxy Note in mid-August instead of announcing the smartphone at the IFA Berlin trade show in early September as it has done for four consecutive years.

Apple introduced the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus just six days after the Galaxy Note 4 was announced on September 3 last year, shifting much of the media coverage and consumer attention away from Samsung. With the launch of the so-called "iPhone 6s" and "iPhone 6s Plus" also likely to be in September, Samsung is reportedly looking to avoid the same fate with the Galaxy Note 5.

What would be fantastically hilarious is if Apple's event takes place in August. There was a rumor that it might be a few weeks earlier this year! Might be possible since there aren't many changes externally. The 5S didn't change much but was supply constrained by Touch ID components. The 6S isn't changing much but might be supply constrained by Force Touch components, just as the Apple Watch was said to be. Otherwise it's not outside the realm of possibility. Furthermore, iOS 9 beta is already a lot more stable than iOS 8 and many of the changes are under the hood. We should get a better idea when the iOS 9 GM drops.

I have used an S6 EDGE. Its pretty neat. GUI has been highly improved (over S4) and the OS feels more responsive than the iphone 6. 3GB ram! Screen and camera are better than the iphone. Numbers and letters are on the same keyboard, no switching needed!

Maybe I will switch...

lets face the truth, Samsung created phablet category and made it popular

Let's reimagine this situation as a non-tech thing so we can see how ludicrous that statement is, shall we? Let's couch that whole premise in beer... because hey, it's beer.

So, one day, Apple Brewing looked around and said, "Gah, everyone's drinking p**s beer. We can do better!" They went on to release a premium beer in a 12 oz. bottle. That was a smash hit. They then went on to prove that people also wanted a premium beer in a 32 oz. bottle--despite being derided by critics that it was "just a big 12 oz. bottle." And contrary to everyone's expectations, the 32 oz. bottles absolutely flew off the shelf at an astonishing rate.

Samsung Brewing comes along and, in a stroke of absolute genius, says, "Hey, maybe people who like 12 oz. bottles of beer and like 32 oz. bottles of beer, would also like 16 oz. bottles of beer." And what do you know? It's a hit!

Gee, who could have seen that coming?

Can you imagine anyone in the world of beer production actually bothering to bring this up as a win? It just sounds silly. Just like Samsung's "phablet" revelation. It was an idea already proven by Apple. Samsung just took the next logical step. It isn't something they deserve any kind of accolades for.

lets face the truth, Samsung created phablet category and made it popular

no one is disputing that...

And???? Let's face the truth. Sammy is sorry they made phablets "popular" because Apple followed suit and is killing them in sales.

That's not the truth and easily disputed by the fact. Samsung definitely made the category popular but the Galaxy Note wasn't even the first Android phablet, let alone other mobile OS that came before.

Samsung made the category popular...they don't create anything. Anything that they've ever "created" was based on other companies' designs (iPhone) or rumors (Apple Watch).

So they copied the apple watch way back in 2009?
