Not to mention, android can't airplay to my apple tv, which i use EVERY DAY
That's interesting because my Dad's android has AirPlay functionality. He found an App on the Marketplace which does it.

But what does it have to do with Samsung? Why would you pay to share this message? And do you really think its unique to Apple users (who have basically had 2 different but similar phone designs.)
Is the point that apple users are morons or that Apple are morons for making a phone that looks the same as the previous one?
All we have to go on is what we've seen. And what we've seen from the competition, marketing-wise, relative to Apple, isn't all that impressive or effective. In Samsung's case here, the timing is way off and the subject of attack is pretty misplaced.
Samsung's ad is a lot like their legal moves: oddly-timed, confusing, and ultimately not very effective.
That is so incredibly false, the only way that you could believe it to be true is if your entire life's worth was depended on a brand from the opposite end of the spectrum.
Here, take another look. In only two days, this is what the ad has managed to do:

Who's the demographic viewing it and hitting the "like" button?
Is it the bulk of the market (Joe Average), or is it tech-heads and Android fans?
Unfortunately, no amount of spin can make this story look good.

Don't worry though, youre not going to spontaneously combust just because apple and its cult are being ridiculed. Its ok dude, life will go on.
Wow. You sound insane mate.
Cool it down.
Are you suggesting that I'm mentally unfit because I accept reality?
Unfortunately, no amount of spin can make this story look good.

You do realize that Samsung would kill for the kind of mindshare that has consumers standing in line for their gear . . .
Interesting how they mock the very situation that every Apple competitor covets but can never quite get.
But hey, if you can't have any of the glory, just make fun of it.
Gruber nailed it.

Samsung Galaxy S Ad Goes After*iPhone*★
Its a tacit admission that theyre (at best) number two, but this isnt all that different from the sort of humor Apple used for years in the Hodgman/Long Get a Mac campaign. The deft touch in Apples campaign is that it was the PC that was a buffoon, not PC users. A fine line, and many PC users felt Apple was mocking them, not their machines, but Apple wasnt trying to convince all PC users to get a Mac just the ones who were on the fence. This one from Samsung is more people who buy iPhones are image-conscious fad-following idiots.

Droid "Pretty" campaign: Reloaded
Mocking the customers of the hottest company in tech, barely a month after worldwide Steve Jobs adulation and memorials, on the heels of opening iPhone 4S sales of 4 million units in the blink of an eye, at a time when Apple's customer satisfaction ratings are tops across the board, and when Apple's *other* hit iOS product is completely unchallenged in the space that's moving toward next-gen computing.
This strategy, at this particular time, will only work if you're trying to convince your own customers to avoid what is otherwise a very contagious Apple-frenzy, that is about to lay claim to the holiday quarter. Again.
The other thing that popped to my attention on the Samsung and Windows 7 phone was they displayed flash content on the net so advertisements cluttered the page and reduced the size of the content of the things that I was actually there to look at..Iphone net experience is much cleaner.
Those are the same people that write stuff like:
"This commercial isn't gonna help, it just makes the Apple Fanboys cry and try harder for people to get into Apple's stuck non-free world, I mean Android is about freedom!!! choose your phone, choose your carrier!! and when you have the phone! change the music player if you wanted! you don't even have to use the keyboard that comes with it, Apple Fanboys don't know about some of that stuff because they are too stubborn to actually try an Android, or they do know but just to stubborn"
It's funny. I am pretty sure a very large part of Android comes from teenagers who just wish to look cool, tinkering with keyboards, themes, etc.
Fair enough Bugs... sorry Vitzr. I just don't see why this would be especially helpful to Samsung? If this was a campaign sponsored by Google it would at least make some sense, but I find it hard to believe that Samsung would spend money just to annoy fanboys. Where's the benefit? What Samsung has accomplished is to shake up the cult like Apple worshipers like never before. As far as generating sales, the general consensus on this forum is so skewed it matters not one wit.
