Crap design to slim might be tall but having slimmer frame like s8 makes phone smaller older format looked better

As others have already said, looks nice but does not seem like it would actually be nice to use.

That thing looks like an ergonomic nightmare.

Whats considered hype for you is sheer gratification for me. if you think its hype, I would actually be trying to sell you the device but Im not.

How old are you? You must be a kid, I have trouble believing an adult would act this way.

That curved edge glare.

How is that not distracting? I'm genuinely curious, maybe Galaxy and Note users can chime in.

That 'glare bezel' is thicker than any bezel you find on a modern iPhone. Makes the screen look even smaller, too.

Not BS. My personal experience. But try an iPhone 6S then with 2GB of RAM. I can open almost 10 apps and have none of them reloading when going back.
No that is complete BS. Even my iPad Pro 10.5” with 4 GB of ram cannot keep 10 apps open at once. Usually the max it goes is 5 depending on how ram intensive the apps are. My iPad Air with 1 GB could keep usually a max of 2 apps open on iOS 10, and a lot of times not even that.

I have someone in the household who has an S7 and, while it might have problems in some areas (no more than any other device from my experience), it really doesn’t have a problem with RAM.

I know this an Apple forum and all and a lot people are defensive over their devices that they bought, but at least try to tell the truth.

The edge only glares in photos in real life it isn't a distraction and helps with the aesthetics of the phone

That image stabilisation on the Note 8 looks absolutely fantastic

Lol I had an iPhone 6S and one of the most annoying things about an otherwise pretty good device was the ram issue. Constant tabs reloading and constant apps reloading

Freedom of Speech is non-existent to people like you. Since you say I am hyping, you should definitely go by a Note 8 and get to at least have some new experiences and possibilities in your life.

Love this time of year when all the new phones start to drop. Note8 and then the iPhone 8 in a few weeks. And then the Pixel after that

No it doesn't. IOS app state suspend/restore is faking it by taking and restoring a screenshot of the app's last state. You should really do some basic research instead of spreading FUD.
I have done my research by actually using both. How come the 6S is beating the Galaxy S8 with 2GB less RAM? I don't care about how it works, I want it to just work. And that, it does.

What is a 2018 flagship though? For 2017, it certainly in line with what's expected: high caliber SoC, 6gb RAM, QHD+ display with minimal bezels-18:9 aspect ratio, USB Type C, water resistance, etc.

The last three you mentioned are a wishlist request. Ideally, a FP sensor would be underneath the OLED panel and the bezels are completely gone with one metal-glass slab, but that's not going to happen any time soon.

And of course the S8/S8+ are much more attractive with the price and features because the Note 8 is a slight upgrade. That's how technology works. The LG G6 is a much more price friendly version of the LG V30.

Ok, we can agree to disagree.
But it is almost the same phone as the s8 that was released 5 months ago, for a steep price and has to remain competetive for a year until the next note. Technically it is an s8 that was released 5 months ago. And the placement next to the lenses of the fingerprintreader is a pain, face recog and irisscanning are still the same and very receptive to fraud. So feedback of consumers, reviewers have not lead to improvements.
Sorry, not enough.
The g6 vs v30 is not the apropiate equation.
V30 has an oled instead of lcd of the g6, and a snapdragon 835 instead of the older version snapdragon of the g6, a 16mp camera instead of a 13mp and a better aparture, a .3 inch bigger screen, smaller bezels, better bezel ratio, design, etc.
And a rumored price of 699 us.
I think it is a fine improvement over the g6. Other than de note over the s8.

Almost any android phone with nougat just works. Most of us that are getting the Note 8 are getting it because it does more than "just work".

I love how people ignore the S-pen features. With the S-pen, its definitely not the same phone. Oh and lets not forget the refined design, less steep curves, dual camera set up that kills the competition, and 6 GB of ram. Also, the flash now separates the camera from the fingerprint reader and the reader has a more defined border so you recognize it without trouble.

LOL, double the ram and smaller screen. Apple and oranges my friend.

Yes, i will mention the s pen then. The dual cam, 2 gigs of extra memory.
And it will cost you 350 dollars more compared to a s8 plus. Sounds like a great deal.
And i have never compared it to an iphone, i compared it to a s8+ in all my previous posts.....

16 apps and the iPhone 6S held 14 of them in memory.
EDIT: Sorry it held 13 of them.

If you were a past note 7 owner, you get a discount up to $425.00 when you trade in a old device. How cost effective is that for you? Most of us past note 7 users can get this discount.

Wonder how fast people will loose the S Pen.

Theres a reason why the s pen has a dedicated slot. I'm sure the apple pencil has a greater chance of getting lost if it wasnt so gigantic like the pre-school fat crayons.
