I'm glad Samsung's excellent hardware components and phone designs have influenced the iPhone X. Now, lets see what S9 will bring to the table, to make Apple's next iPhone even better.

Sadly there is an element of catch up these days.

Not for me.

Samsung apps
Google apps
And if from carrier, their apps

I want Android 9 right away. I want Pie or Popsicle or whatever sexual innuendo you can do with the name that Google picks.

If the S9 gets announced in Feb and released by March the same month as the SE2, you will have to wait nearly a year to get Android P or about four months after Pixel 3 get released. You might as wait for Samsung's true flagship in the Note by Aug.
For someone who sings the praises of everything but iOS, you don’t half talk a lot in the iOS section of the forum...

Maybe it’s time to move on to where your opinion won’t fall on deaf ears.

I'm perfectly willing to accept the notch and protruding camera in place of two years of updates with bloated software on Android. I'm sure the S9 will be a solid device, but Eventually aesthetics wears off, it comes down to the Software experience in the end.
I would rather have simple software experience that does not need weekly fix update like iOS11.

apple is very late to embrace wireless charging . Most of the other features you noted were available on android in one way or another . Apple is late these days with hardware features. 2017 we get olded and wireless ..... ummm that is years behind

Yes, we know Apple is late as you indicated already twice in your post. But that's how they have always been with releasing certain technology, but I believe that they do it better than other competitors. When Apple releases a feature or product, it tends to have a more unique factor to it, similarly to the AirPods for example.

Airpod is worst design ever. Everytime I see them on somebody, I feel like throwing up. Do these people ever see themselves in the mirror to see what level of douchebag they look like with those two weird white sticks dangling out of their ears??

And that’s assuming the notch and protruding camera at all... most people don’t care about the protruding camera, its literally not an issue, same goes for the notch.

All I care about is the AirPods deliver the experience with comfortability and simplicity with excellent battery life. For those who are concerned with what someone else is wearing indicates insecurity to me.

What special about wireless ? Apart from being very late ?

In fairness, Apple hasn't really been the beacon of quality software recently. My personal experiences with iOS 11 on my iPhone 7 Plus has been overwhelmingly poor. iOS 10 ran relatively great from the beginning.

Most apple fans are very concerned about image, it's why they choose Apple.

And that's been your experiences, but mine differ from yours, I have not had issues with iOS 11 running on any of my iOS devices. It just goes to show you that there is varying experiences amongst all of us.

You addressed this point, not me. But since you asked, I do like the AirPower can simultaneously charge the iPhone 8/X, Series 3 Apple Watch and AirPods at once.

It's not even in retail...... there is nothing special about apple's wireless implementation in their phones . We all thought they would do something special ....nope....

Which has absolutely zero relevance to what I was referring to. You asked me about their wireless charging, I commented that I like that you can charge three devices simultaneously. It doesn't require an argument for a preference.

No I asked about wireless charging , and you commented about an accessory that is not even available. Your point is that Apple takes their time and does it better. Sorry, thier phones have stock wireless implementation. Let's not talk about devices that are not even in production ?

Sorry, thier phones have stock wireless implementation.

Not sure why you're apologizing for your own statement. However, it's not about necessarily the wireless implementation, ots what follows there after with the Airpower. Obviously there are third-party charges available, but the fact that you can conveniently charge three devices at once I find to be a convenience factor.

Regardless, it seems you have more of a concern then I do about this. So I'm not sure why you continually keep pushing you're narrative when it's not something that has to be mitigated with your own frustrations with Apple.

That's not an apology...... you are way off the mark! .....

No , I'm just calling you out in regards to you stating that Apple takes their time so they can do it right .

No, you're not calling me out, you're disagreeing with the fact of what I said based on Apple's history when it comes to releasing products/features. Fact of the matter is, that's how they do things, it's just your narrative doesn't agree with Apples timeline of what you consider "Better." If you choose to reply, at least staying on point without diverting irrelevant tangents.

So if the picture for the s9 is correct phones are getting little bit thicker now like the iPhone X I don’t mind that at all . But seriously what more can they do with these phones now pretty much new cameras and new better processors and ram and I guess new screens & bigger/better batteries.

I'm with Asarien. On my iPhone 7 Plus, I constantly have issues with the stock apps acting erratically. The biggest problem I have is the Messages app. Out of the blue, it will not show the input box. No place to type a message. Force quit and restart and it's fixed. Try to message a photo from Photos app and the app freezes. Those are just a couple. Never had problems like this in iOS 10.
