LOL, no I dont remember that because I don't care for Samsung. Like I said earlier, I have no horse in this race.

If they haven't, sure? I haven't heard anything in that regard. But again, this isn't my point. I'm just irritated at all the fanboyism here in the forums seeing all the celebrating of a company's failure.
 
I thought they had been for a while now. The FAA will end up going back on the rule for not being able to use electronic devices on take-off and landing if we're not careful. And we all know who'll we'll have to thank for that....

Seriously, so where now in a situation where flight attendants will be checking on the model of each device! What a joke....

If anything, his misuse of the word "petulance" has added a taste of sweet irony, which exists as a subtle layer in the background to the overall robust taste of schadenfreude. Yum.

But more importantly, I'm a fan of flight, and I really hate the way some agencies use fear to keep themselves in power, instead of using the chance to educate passengers about what is really dangerous and what is not.

I.e. in cabin fires are not a huge threat at all. In-hold checked baggage fires, on the other hand, are immensely deadly, and it's just a matter of time before a checked tablet or other lithium cell device brings down an airliner, if people don't pay attention to the rules.

Did you really just say in cabin fires are no threat at all? Look I could really care less about apple vs. Samsung I am not going to defend or condem a billion dollar corporation that doesn't pay me any commission. But that statement is just ridiculous, I'm sure you'd be singing a different tune if you were 50,000 feet in the air and saw flames in the seat next to you all of a sudden

You would probably have the option to get out of line and go FedEx it back home to yourself, but it won't be getting on the plane.

But why you are always wasting your precious time to comment something you are not interested in or even hate on its fan site? To me it doesn't make any sense. I'm here because I love Apple and Apple product and I'm also a AAPL investor. If I hate something like Samsung, I will never go to its fan site samsungrumors.com ( oh well no such site).

FedEx might not want these devices amongst their packages or in their vehicles - especially not on a FedEx plane...
