I'm glad that someone else seen what I was seeing. I was reading the comment and I was like, "doesn't anyone see the glaring continuity problem here???" luckily sir, you have! And I thank you!

Holy crap! Look at the size of that f*er! As a guy, I like to be able to easily pocket my phone, especially when I go out at night. I like when I can sit down and the phone fits easily in my pocket. I would be forced to buy a holster or backpack harness if I bought that phone.

I think I'd need a purse for something the size of a Galaxy Note.

Apple is the only company in the history of the world (which would make them the first company EVER to also think of and invent) voice recognition, cloud storage, a music matching service, wireless play, an mp3 player, and RETAIL STORES?

I like some of the community here at times, but sometimes you're disturbingly delusion fanboys, and it shows.

Obviously Apple invented the retail store! Cloud storage never happened with email or with box.net or dropbox . . . Apple invented the cloud and all forms of clouds EVER! And everyone knows that the iPhone was the first MP3 player!

Yes there is a continuity . . . Samsung is now offering via the SGSIII EVERYTHING that Google used to offer via Android save for the retail stores. The retail store is a blatant rip-off of Apple, which invented the retail store in 1433 ad

Sounds like some healthy competition to me.

Maybe apple will get their stuff together with iOS 6 and release Siri 1.0 (what're you guys talking about Siri 2.0 for? Apple hasn't even taken Siri out of Beta yet!)

Maybe Apple will finally get some real file sharing, like Dropbox.

... Can't think of much else that I dislike about my iPhone 4S. The 4G speed boost is nice (I definitely noticed going from HSPA to HSPA+... Web page loading takes several seconds less each time on my 4S as opposed to my 3GS.)

PenTile display, which isn't good.

And a review said they had done well to keep it only 16% bigger than the Galaxy S2. So it is only 16% bigger than too big. Great...

wasnt there a rumor of iphone 5 having a 5" screen?

I am ALL FOR A BIGGER iPhone.

But 5" would just be too big for an iPhone. The Galaxy Note is still a smoking hot small tablet/large phone that I'd buy if they'd just make it a tablet with no phone bits . . . . but I know there'd never be a 5" iPhone.

It'd just be a mini iPad.

To be fair, the only company that come close to competing with a decent smartphone is Samsung. Credit to them for things like facial recognition - at least they're doing something. The Galaxy line of phones would be my only other choice in place of an iPhone. They're doing something right.

If they removed the entire bezel it would look fine ;)

That's what they've (almost) done with their TV design. And it looks really cool. Completely unlike this phone.

Looks and hardware aside let's talk about software. The feel of Android OS and the trouble you'll have finding apps optimized for this phones (retina) display makes it a non-starter, imho.

Scanning through the posts makes me hope the 2012 end of the world predictions are correct...

Im amaze on how my 2 year old iPhone 4 still is a TOP phone:

- Has super great battery life (best I've ever seen)
- Display can't get any better in terms of resolution. After seeing 4.8 inch displays I start to think that its way too big and now I don't want a bigger screen anymore (although a 4 inch could be the sweet spot)
- Great design (much better than most phones)
- Invaluable ecosystem (2 years later and still great apps and games coming every month. Plus iCloud is AMAZING for contacts and calendar. iTunes is great for syncing music and everything, like daily backups)
- Great simple OS, fluid and good looking.
- Jailbreak. Thanks to this I have some cool tweaks like Zephyr (no need to use the home button ever again!!), Forecast (weather on the lock screen), etc.

If you think about it, no phone today is so desirable as to change your iPhone 4 for it... You already have super resolution (can't get any better on 3.5 inch), super fluid OS, many quality games and apps, ecosystem with macs and iTunes, etc.

I still remember when on my previous Nokias I couldn't even get my email app set correctly, or when surfing the web was horrible... iOS gets those simple tasks done perfectly.

Only thing needed for iPhone is updated apps like Maps, YouTube and Pictures. Hopefully iOS 6 will bring those new features.

Ive never been so satisfied with a phone. Before the iPhone 4 I changed phone every year. Now I don't see myself changing phone again in quite a while... not even for the iPhone 5.

5 inches is massive when holding a device you will use frequently in your hands. I've tried usin 4.5-5 inch phones, it's great for watching video, but besides that it's no fun to carry or hold in the hand.

I've found the iPhone to be the perfect balance. 4 inches is likely the sweetspot for everyday general use. It's all about balance folks.

agreed, they actually did innovate with those new features. they are pretty neat, too bad i'm pretty much stuck with the apple environment due to iCloud and so on. i'm intrigued in the least

I'll go and play around with one in a store. I'm starting to find browsing web pages on the iPhone a chore these days, while I'm not a fan of large smart phones, it's something that is starting to bug me enough to think about a change to something with a slightly bigger (wider more than anything) screen.

The screen looks a lot more vibrant in that comparison photo too.
