say what you want about the samsung device.

i think ios is starting to get really dated. I feel the pain even more so on my ipad than my iphone. hoping ios 6 brings something to the table.

Me too. So much has changed since the iPhone popped up in 2007 and while iOS is great it could stand to take advantage of new ideas that have come around since it was created. Useful widgets, information on the lock screen, informative app icons, more advanced camera software, and better social media integration would be a nice start but there's a lot more.

Apple could also do a good cleaning up of some of the built-in apps. Youtube, Maps, iTunes and the App Store all could use an overhaul and Settings is getting tedious to use when you have to manage dozens of third-party apps.

The next iPhone had better be ****ing massive.

Also, the best place for Android devices is an incinerator.

Plagiarism? Show us something Apple that comes even close to SIII. Oh, and you ARE supporting Samsung. The more Apple gear you buy the more money Samsung makes.

S3 will never sell anything close to the iphone4S

And S4 will never sell anything like the iphone5... FACT

Some of the things Samsung launched today:

  • S Voice
  • S Cloud
  • Scan and Match
  • Display sharing
  • S Pebble
  • Retail stores

In other news, Apple has had these for awhile:

  • Siri
  • iCloud
  • iTunes Match
  • AirPlay
  • iPod Shuffle
  • Retail stores

In other news Android had most of these features already in its OS, these are just manufacturer based changes. Siri like features have been in Android before Apple even bought Siri.

Open Minded?!!! These fools just copied Apples entire SWAG!....Open Minded?!!

Apple purchased most of its "swag" and just added it to its OS. Apple isn't inventing things out of thin air.

"Maybe Android is huge with undocumented workers. Undocumented workers who love taking surveys, mind you. But I digress…"

LOL!

MG Siegler is a clown openly admitting that he is an Apple fanboi. Most techcrunch readers are ignoring him or laugh at him.

well said, the YouTube app is embarrassing. i only use the website nowadays.

its also annoying to go into settings for every little thing. they could easily let siri handle some of this "turn off wifi/blue tooth" etc. stuff. i know i know siri is STILL beta

and why oh why is the lockscreen still of no use, they could do so much with it

something like this, of course prettier to be on apple standard

Apple is the only company in the history of the world (which would make them the first company EVER to also think of and invent) voice recognition, cloud storage, a music matching service, wireless play, an mp3 player, and RETAIL STORES?

I like some of the community here at times, but sometimes you're disturbingly delusion fanboys, and it shows.

I've got the Galaxy SII - it does feel big and clumsy to use as a phone (compared with the tiny Nokia I had before anyway). But it's a great device and works well with Ice Cream Sandwich. I'm sure the SIII will be a great success.

I got the SII because here in the UK it's much cheaper on contract than an iPhone.

I do like Android – as a long time Mac user it feels like the old days in some ways.

Holy crap! Look at the size of that f*er! As a guy, I like to be able to easily pocket my phone, especially when I go out at night. I like when I can sit down and the phone fits easily in my pocket. I would be forced to buy a holster or backpack harness if I bought that phone.
