If we can track them to the depot at some point during business hours on Friday, they should allow us to collect them from the depot with some form of ID.

I did this before quite a while ago when my iPhone 4 delivery, which I bought unlocked from the online Apple store, was delayed by one day on geographical grounds (I'm in Belfast). The iPhone arrived at the UPS facility in Mallusk at about 3pm on release day - too late for them to deliver but time enough for me to go and get it myself. In my experience, couriers will not deliver on a given day unless they receive the item the night before or very early that morning.

For us to have them delivered on 20/21st they would have to be with courier on Friday as Monday is a bank holiday here meaning no post

Well that's exactly what they are doing online!!! She said that she would try and

look in to speeding the order up but was not very hopefully and the 21st would

be the latest i would get it. She also said that they would be investigating the

whole issue as i was not the only one 😛

I emailed too but that was now 36 hours ago and haven't heard a cheap. However, if they got back to you at least they are taking some notice but I doubt if it will do much good.

I know in the grand scheme of things it isn't really that important, more irritating really.

If anyone gets anything from these email, I can't see it but well done to them
I can't see apple going to someone go grad this one order of a pile of hundreds and get it up the road now
I can see that

Far as I see we were never getting it Friday unless you go to Belfast and queue up

THEY ARE DELIVERING MY IPAD ON FRIDAY!!

I hope you guys get the call too. I will be able to track my order from Thursday evening.

I just had that call too!! 😀 Though no change on the details of shipment, I guess they might have paid extra for delivery here if the iPads arrive in the UK today? But tbh the couriers might be the next hurdle!

Wow.........well done you! Gives the rest of us a glimmer of hope. Kind of resigned myself to waiting but would certainly love a phone call too.

Bet coz I'm stuck in the wilderness that is Perthshire I will still be delayed. lol

I'll keep my fingers crossed. Looks like anywhere outside of Glasgow was the wilderness for UPS/TNT. They were just checking that someone would be in etc. But I reckon they'll have a fair few calls to get through yet.

Well...

I've been lurking and debating whether to post (so as not to 'jinx' myself) but wanted to add my name to those who are in Scotland and whose order has NOT been delayed (to date).

I ordered a 64Gb black wifi iPad on Thursday 8th between 0700 and 0800 and have always had the 16th as a delivery date. No change, so I am hopeful that this will stay the same between now and Friday.

I'm based in Fife. Looking forward to receiving the new toy 🙂

Wow, good news! I really hope my order gets delivered on Friday, it has been sitting as 'Processing Items' and 'Delivers on March 16' even though I got the delay email.

I would be very disappointed for it not to arrive on Friday since I am so close to the UPS depot, no excuse for me being in an inconvenient location!
 
I sent a wee email there now, back to the same person who got in connect with me before asking wa this for all or a select few
 
Hurrah!

I phoned and the rep read out what sounded like a standard response stating that they expect ALL iPad deliveries to be made on Friday - I mean those that were originally quoted as "delivers on 16 March", of course.

The rep was clearly reading, but it was something about "pulling out all the stops so as not to disappoint their customers", "working very hard with logistical partners", etc etc.

Anyway, whether you get a personal phone call or not, it looks like very good news. She said that the order status would not update for 24 hours (So it'll stay at "processing" until sometime Thursday), but delivery *is* to be expected next day.

I then received a phone call confirming this, but whether you get the call or not, the rep I spoke to was clear that this applies to all who were originally quoted a 16 March delivery date and who had received the "delayed" email.

Chuffed!

I just got the call from apple asking me to expect delivery on 16th and I can track it tomorrow. from Montrose 😀 😀
