Apart from Pencil Support and Mac APP they have been regularly releasing updates do abandoned ? I don't know ? that comes as a shocking information to me ?
By abandoned I mean that it has not been updated in quite a while, while for example Notability seems to get monthly updates. The activity on the NotesPlus website is also very limited. But I don't know the developers, so I don't know their thinking.

Perhaps they don't think they earn enough. I would be happy to pay for an update. NotesPlus is excellent, but getting a little outdated.

Notesplus was just updated for Apple Pencil. I don't have my iPad Pro yet, so I'm not sure how good the update is.

Thank you for sharing all of these! I really like Notability for taking notes (haven't gotten the 9.7 or the pencil yet though), but like how the Evernote interface operates and the handwriting search function. If Notability would get together with Evernote, angels might sing.

Is there any students that use either of the Pros for taking notes? I have an iPad 4 and a rMBP 15, and I usually grab the iPad to take notes on over the laptop as it takes up less space on my desk and it's less of a distraction to myself and others as it sits flat. I have been thinking lately that the Apple Pencil would be nice so that I can do my Math and Physics notes digitally.

Does anybody use their Pro for this sort of thing?

ipad pro has made made my note taking more organized and more efficient! especially in med school, most of my professor provides pdf/powerpoint lectures. All i do is annotate over them. Here are some examples. The app i use is called Notability. Examples shown are physiology and physics class. I still use my MPB for school, like doing essays, a good example is when im doing reviews, i would have the text ebook open on my laptop and do work on the ipad, really good combo.

That's really cool, and the annotations would be great. I think that I would still type a lot also, does notability allow you to go back and forth and annotate what you type? I wish apple notes did..

yea, you can type and annotate at the same time. also there is notability app for OSX, so there is icloud sync between ios/osx

I don't know the whole concept of this APP looks unappealing to me maybe the UI and functionality doesn't look like an major utility !
It's not an "app". It's a keyboard. It should have the simplicity and utility of the standard keyboard.

Notes Plus is amazing. I have tried Evernote, Notability, Penultimate, GoodNotes, One Note, LiquidText and Noteshelf. I wasted so much money looking for something better than Notes Plus. It isn't out there.

Notes Plus has a much better, simpler and cleaner filing system and much better paper choices than any of these.

The only reason I was looking for something else is because for some reason the highlighter and eraser are removed when you switch from landscape to portrait. Erasing is no big deal because they have a great feature where a quick scribble through the text erases it. It is annoying for highlighting though. Hopefully they will fix this in the future. For now I just put text I want to highlight in different colors.

I just don't understand how you use NotesPlus with the Apple Pencil. Pre-Apple Pencil I used NotesPlus extensively, but I don't think it works well with the Apple Pencil.

Perhaps I just didn't adjust the settings to work better with Apple Pencil.

I never used it before the iPad Pro. It works great with the pencil so I'm not sure why you are having issues. Maybe it's something in your settings. Just an amazing note taking app. I love it.
