I remember I kept getting this error message all night long from ATT site..
I keep getting to the ATT processing screen, the I get the "Your request couldn’t be processed.
We’re sorry, but there was an error processing your request. Please try again later."
Hmm, well I'll try Apple first and see if it works. Still not sure if I'm going to bother getting it early though.
Well from looking back at old thread.. I think if you can't get order in within first 15 mins of 3am.. I say punt, goto sleep and then try again at 5am.. That gives 2 hrs after start of the release, by then it is 2am on West coast (most asleep) and still pretty early on east coast (5am), so I would think if there was ever a shot to get the preorder in (granted the site is up and validation is working w/Verizon, ATT, ect). This would be the time. But pounding the pavement at 3-5am doesn't make sense in my book.

if wanted to do this you need log into the ATT/VERIZON/ECT account, go into setting and change mailing address.. then order with new mailing address.. But having two addresses isn't going to work..
How quickly do pre orders usually sell out? An AT&T customer rep is calling me at 3 pm Friday to place my pre order because he is going to bypass my 250 upgrade fee that I got because of getting married and joining accounts even tho I have 2 year old iPhone 4. So I'm wondering by the time 3 pm rolls around Friday will I be able to get a pre order for the first shipment on the 21st?
I'm looking to upgrade my phone through the Apple website. While I'm not the master account holder (Verizon), I do have all the above information to gain access to the account. Will I be able to use my own credit card and not my parents? The billing/shipping address will be the same.
I think a lot of you have forgotten that even after Apple's site finally came back up that the AT&T(assuming you were ordering a phone for their network) server that validated your upgrade eligibility was completely toast. You could add the phone to your cart on Apple.com, but it would hang and timeout once it tried talking to AT&T. I expect nothing less this time around. It will be a fiasco because I am quite sure that AT&T will botch it since they will yet again completely underestimate the demand. I think it took 2.5 hours after the initial start to finally get an order placed. I would worry less about apple.com and worry more about the carriers(although I believe Verizon's servers were the best last time around).

When I add one iPhone to my "Cart" it will not allow me to add another.
There is a link when selecting the phone that says How do I buy multiple iPhones? But there is no option to select “Create a new account for two or more iPhones...”
Any ideas?

yea you can use a different credit card compared to normal account..

Also, you can get 2 clicks into the order process on the Apple store app right now. Click "iPhone" > Click "iPhone 5" and leave it there for tonight.
If you remember the last time, it took 4 clicks to get through checkout and most couldn't get to Click 3 for hours. Do it now, later tonight you're halfway home.

that was for the Apple.com site.. and say's (if you have a password) so if don't then wont be an issue.
I've been told that the first stock for the 21st delivery will sell out in a matter of minutes/hours. But I'd like to get a second opinion. I really don't want to get up early lol.
I have been trying to change my billing address online cause I am currently in college a few states away from where my house is but every time I try to change the billing address it gives me an error and tells me to either call them or chat with them online. I don't know if this is because the address is to a different state or what but, this is making me frustrated!
Yes. Part of the checkout process is that Apple pings ATT to confirm your eligibility status.

I think I may done that or used im to talk to rep and get it changed.. if want get iphone I take the time out now get fixed or don't do it at all.. They going to be totally un-reachable come tomorrow..
