Same here... 32GB Gold Verizon, ordered 9/20 at 7:30am (pacific time), still "Processing".

My friend just shipped out my Gold 32GB AT&T. He picked up my in-store pick for me a few states over.
It's such an easy way to get an iPhone. If you have friends or family that live in different areas you can search Apple store inventory around them. Then just complete the purchase for in store pickup.
But you will have to add them as an authorized user with your carrier so they can pick the phone up. But you can remove them when it's all done.

Don't take my word for it but... if you read the description for "preparing" on the Apple order status page, it says that your item is ready for shipment. Implying that all they're waiting for, is for UPS to swing by and pick it up.
Maybe both of ours will leave together, and be plane buddies!

It's not Sold yet, bidding ends next week. Before that, I also have a choice to pull it out from eBay and not sell it.

Let me know when it actually changes to "Preparing for Shipment"....I'm soooo tired of seeing "Processing".
Well I assume that happens to people who ordered anything but Gold. carfi ordered Space Grey. He/she might very well be getting the iPhone fulfillment from the Apple stock that is already in the US.
Many of us who ordered Gold are still waiting....

My phone was traveling from China, and stuck today in Louisville, instead of arriving New Jersey.
Louisville is one of UPS's main hubs. Almost every year, preordered iPhones travel through there and are shipped out to their local destinations. Would've been shocked if it came straight to you.

Saw someone mention that problem earlier. Seems to only be in the UK. Are you in the UK?
That is some scary ****... who the hell would be doing that? If it were the Foxconn people doing it for fun, I would be up in arms.

I do have a screen shot for when it was preparing for shipping, i called Apple and they told me that they will contact the factory. Also they upgrade me to free "expedited shipping" .
Either way i am annoyed at the fact that i am in "processing item" once again
